After shool I basically ran home so I can call Jackie. I miss him so much.

I race into my room and hit send at his name. It starts to ring as I sit in anticipation.

"Mortans mourge, you kill them well chill them" his familiar voice rang through my phone.

"Jackie it's nice to hear your voice, how's Oregon" I ask feeling at home. He's my best friend and no move will change that.

"Same, rainy, how's it down there is California" he asks kindly.

"Warm, but I met some new people so I feel better. I just feel so lonely without you" I lay down on my bed looking up at my ceiling.

"I miss you too. But guess what" he teases with excitement. Oh what could it be?

"What" I ask.

"You're no fun, you know you're supposed to guess" he complains.

"David got in a crash where his penis was removed" I say making him crack up.

"No, but that would be awesome. I would call you as soon as I heard that news. Anyways Jenny and Nick are dating now, can you believe it, I'm forever alone" he says. I laugh at how he can make anything about him.

"You maybe right, since I just got asked up by this guy named Shane" I blush waiting for his response.

"Congratulations. And I hate when I'm wrong. Do you have a girl down there that I can see when I come and visit" he asks. He is such a dork.

"Well I have a friend named Nicky she's totally chill" I say dragging out the totally.

"No, no valley girl talk missy" he scowls me. I crack up since it was our personal joke when I found out I was moving to California.

"Fine, just chill you testicles there okay" I giggle.

"Whatever, so what do think about me visiting on spring break" he asks. Spring break is only a week away.

"Hell yes" I yell.

"Sweet, so our parents already set it up, I can't wait to see you" he is obviously pouting through the phone.

"It's only been a month okay, but I'm excited too. I have to go get ready for my date later" I say with a smile.

"Sooner" he said before hanging up. That was our thing, that we would rather see each other soon rather than later. I know it's dorky, but it's us. Now let's get ready for that date.
