If Dex Returned Alone

Prologue

A/N: I don't know what to do for the cover and I also won't update much. If you have any ideas please put them in the comments down below. Also my friend might help a bit to her account is bearcub-87. I don't plan on updating much, maybe 1 to 2 times a week but that might change with school so I will try to keep posting. I'm good with feedback positive or negative if there are any mistakes please tell me I might re edit this later but until then this is the plotline

Sophie's POV:

"Miss Foster you must make a choice, you can come with me to Alluveterre and become a part of the Black Swan or you can go home with Dex to your friends," Mr. Forkle said. It was sudden but I knew the answer right away."I would like to come with you," I said. They never really cared for me anyway, well other than Keefe, Marella, and Jensi. Even Dex was mad at me for wanting to be a part of the Vacker family when Grady and Edaline canceled my adoption. Biana was just faking a friendship and so was Fitz. "There is nothing left there for me," I Insisted when Forkle looked unsure, even though it was his offer. "Ok Miss Foster he said and implanted a memory in Dex's head of her dying.

Edaline's POV:

I heard the motion alarms on the property go off. Could it be Sophie? I immediately called for Grady and hailed all of Sophie's friends. I ran over and saw a collapsed figure lying on the ground next to one of the enclosures. It was rainy and I couldn't see that well but I saw strawberry blond hair.

Keefe's POV:

Could it be? Could Foster still be alive? It would be amazing if either were alive. I owed Dex an apology too. I was the one who sent him after Foster after all. And if Foster was alive then I could finally confess my love for her. I went straight to the leapmaster. "HAVENFIELD" I yelled, hoping one of them was actually alive.

Biana's POV:

Sophie might be alive! I will finally get the chance to apologize, just like Dad said I would. Me and Fitz ran over not caring we were still in our pajamas.

Dex's POV:

Who were these people running toward him? Who was he? Ok that was scary he didn't know his own name. Then it all came flooding back. He was Dexter Alvin Dizznee, Technopath, alchemist, friend to So- And then he remembered. Sophie was dead. It was all he could think about.

FLASHBACK

"Hello Dex. my name is Mr. Forkle I'm here to rescue you," a fat old man told him. Then he heard it, Sophie screaming. Mr. Forkle quickly grabbed him and raced to where he hoped Sophie was. And then the screaming stopped. He looked and saw Sophie bloodly, on the ground, neck snapped, and a look of pure terror on her face. No she couldn't be dead, not Sophie, his best friend. Then he passed out from the sight of blood.

FLASHBACK OVER

Fitz's POV:

When we got their everyone was crowded around a body. Elwin pushed everyone out of the way and I saw Dex lying on the ground throughly shocked, Repeating over and over My best friend is dead. When I tried to read his mind to see what was going on all I could see was a memory on repeat. Of Sophie dying. I wish I could have helped her in time.

Edaline's POV:

I was jealous. I know I should be glad one of them survived but I couldn't bring myself to be happy. My sister had 4 children now and all I had were Grady and Iggy. Life is unfair first Jolie, now Sophie. 2 dead daughters. Can I even call Sophie my daughter? I guess not after all that happened with  undoing the adoption process. I wish I could take it back.

Biana's POV:

No. No. NO! My best friend couldn't be dead. Dad said I could apologize. No I refuse to belive it. Then I saw the look on my brother's face when he read his mind. She really was dead. I can't belive it. It's all Stina's fault. She's the one who told her about me faking and now she's dead. I wish I would have told her before this. I guess I was afrid she wouldn't be friends with me anymore, but that's better then dead.

Oralie's POV:

No. How could my daughter be dead? The Black Swan said they would protect and find her. I have to contact them right away. There is no way she's dead. I did this to make a change in the world and now she's gone. I wish I could have done somthing to stop this.

Stina's POV:

I can't belive she's dead. It's my fault too. I'm the one who said that Biana was faking it. Even if it was true it's partly why she died. She was so sad she went home early and died. I wish I got a chance to apologize. Although if I had gotten the chance before she did I probaly wouldn't have taken it, instead I would just rub it in. What if this happens again? I mean I guess I could stop, but people would still treat me bad anyway. I guess if I did apologize to anyone no one would belive me. Only person who might was Sophie and now she's dead and it's mostly my fault.

A/N: how did I do? i mean I didn't have them show much emotion but this is just the beginning a lot of my ideas so far have been from kae_was_here so this is my shout out to her for making an amazing book, even if it's discontinued the effort counts. Also I writing this at night so if I made a spelling or grammer mistake then this is why
