"We are homeowners." Shan whispered as we lay cuddled up in the couch.

"You are a homeowner." I corrected her.

The only thing that I own in here is my clothes.

"No silly. We are. Isn't it our house?" Shan asks and I chuckle.

"No. It's yours. It's a wedding gift." I tell her and she sprung up.

"Wah that mean Anderson?" She looked shocked.

I don't understand why the things I do surprise Shanique anymore.

"Come back come lay down nuh Shanique." I say, pulling her hand towards me.

"But, I thought our names were on the title." She says and I laugh.

"No babe, our names are on the land title, the house is yours." I explained and she plopped down in the sofa looking dazed.

"I don't understand how my life has changed so much in a few years. A whole house? How much did this cost you?" She asked but I kept quiet.

I didn't want to get into numbers with her.

"Just tell me." She sighed and I thought it over.

"Is it a lot?" She pressed and I gently kissed her neck trying to distract her.

"What's the cost of my house Anderson?" She asked again and my dick jumped.

Hearing her call it her house had a surprising effect on me.

I loved it.

It made me weak and before I could control myself, the figure was passing my lips.

"Half a million."

She looked confused by this. The question was there openly on her face.

"Anderson stop joke around nuh. This couch alone cost half a million. Just tell me nuh, I promise I won't be weird." She said, not understanding.

I chuckled.

"Five hundred thousand USD, plus some change." I explained.

The room grew quiet.

We were just staring at each other without speaking.

I was anticipating her reaction but I'm not sure what it will be.

After a moment she spoke.

"That's over seventy million dollars."

"Seventy-five." I corrected.

"Furniture included?" She asked and I shook my head no.

Her eyes grew large as she started to look around the room. Getting up, she headed for the kitchen and I followed her.

She was just walking around touching the appliances.

"These are all new." She spoke.

"Yeah, to fit the aesthetic that you wanted."

She left the kitchen and headed upstairs and I trailed behind her slowly.

I think she is looking at the house in a different light and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

I found her in the master bathroom laying in the tub.

"I own this?" She asked not opening her eyes.

"Yes."

"Thank you."

"You don't have to thank me for anything you deserve."
