shall we lay in the grass and stare at the sky?
shall we listen to the birds and the planes and the cars as they pass us by?
shall we watch the clouds make their treacherous journey across the sea of blue?
shall we hold our hands and hold our hearts while i hold my breath while looking at you?
remind me to breathe, remind me to blink, remind me to live while i simply sink
into this feeling of freedom and tranquil peace, lying at your side so i don't have to think
remind me of all the times that we've smiled and cried
because you have me and i have you, but up until now we've only died
but now we are here, my love, and at the heart of existence and universal pain
we only have to be, merely exist and breathe and never again
will i have to say that i miss the feeling i've never experienced before
for now i've held you in my arms, we shan't be lonely anymore
