Celine finally approaches the lake, running so fast she almost slips as she dives into the cold lake. It was a shock, straight panic driving through her. Her clothes were weighing her down, she was cold, she was tired. But with all her acquired adrenaline, she swam.

She ignored her lungs protest for a breath of air. Her limbs resisting against the current, she just wanted to let herself float. But the moment she went up for a quick breath of air she heard the men screaming, she turned her head, halting her movements slightly, giving the men in the canoe an advantage of coming closer to her.

She detertemindly swam, faster than she ever has before. Refusing to let her hope die down. She knew she would get across, she just needed to keep on going, to keep on swimming.

She wasn't sure what gave her the strength, but she was grateful nonetheless as she reached the shore. Hastily she climbed up on the slippery mud, allowing herself to stand and run once again through the forest. She couldn't hear the men anymore, and she took it as a good sign.

She reached the dirt road and decided against running across, instead she followed the road. She was hoping to eventually reach someone, but all she did was reach exhaustion.

She couldn't hear anything apart from her harsh breathing and the sole crunching under her shoes, as exhaustion completely took over and adrenaline died down she fainted.
