My name is Kailani Kiyomizu of the Kiyomizu clan. My mother, Akayu Kiyomizu, was originally next in line to be the Chieftess of the faction, but she fled from home a week before her 18th birthday, the day of her coronation. It was customary for all clan Chiefs and Chieftesses to crown on their 18th birthday. Despite this, my mother did not want to deal with the responsibility and burden of the title and fled. The role of Clan Chief was then given to her younger brother, Airi, instead.
My mother was regarded as dead. Some say she was assassinated as a threat to the Kiyomizu family. Some believe she took her own life. All were wrong. In reality, she now resided in a small country far away from the humble outskirts of Japan - Singapore. Singapore was a small country where she met a Chinese man named Kaid Li. They were married and had two children, me and my little sister Kaize. Growing up, we told about our mom's origins, nor did we enquire about it.
