"I'm fine. Izuku may be right, but..." you started at your hand and closed it into a clenched fist "That's why I don't want to lose."

"Me neither." Izuku said with determination in his eyes "Let's do this."

You smiled at him, with a nod. You were both determined to win this. You were going to win this!

"A fateful battle, huh?" she said.

"Oh, sorry, this isn't your problem, Uraraka!" he said, slightly panicking as he usually does.

"It is! We are a team, aren't we?"

"Yeah, we are, but this really is not your problem." You said "And you do not want it to be."

"Now, let's start indoor person-to-person combat training, with team A and team D!" All Might was heard from the megaphones.

"Let's go from the back." You said flying towards the open window at the back of the building. You all needed to be careful since there were a lot of blind spots.

While Izuku and Uraraka walked, you flew through the empty corridors, having your guard up the moment you entered the building and when you were about to turn a corner, for Bakugo. Knowing him, he is probably hiding somewhere near the entrance for an unexpected atta-

"He's here!" You backed away as an explosion hit Izuku on the face, as he tried to protect Uraraka ''Are you two all right!?" you said, without taking your eyes off the smoke Bakugo was in.

"Yes, we are okay!" Uraraka answered "Thank you, Deku."

Bakugo moved the smoke away with a movement of his hand and looked at Izuku "Come, Deku. Don't dodge."

"I figured you would come for me first." Izuku said, while standing up with his now half toned mask.

"Don't take your eyes off me, Bakugo!" You shoot some of your feathers to try and pin him down. Had it not been for his good reflexes, you would've succeeded. 'Change of plans then.' you flew straight to him, as one of your large feathers formed into a sword to your hand and turned into steel in seconds. You weren't going to hurt him, of course. Well, not yet. Just enough for him to dodge and back away a little, so you could re-group. Something that didn't happen because as soon as you swing your sword in front him, he jumped up, grabbed your hand and crushed you to the other side of the corridor "Argh!"

Why is he not fighting you head on? Why is he ignoring you? Is Izuku his only interest right now?

"Are you okay, Y/n!?" you heard Izuku say.

"I'm fine." You said standing up.

Bakugo ran towards them, ready to blow an explosion again "I won't do so much damage that this fight gets stopped, but I'm gonna get close!" right as he was about to, Izuku went straight for him and grabbed his arm, turned around and slammed Bakugo on the ground.

'Did he just read Bakugo's moves?' you thought.

"Kacchan..." Izuku said, while panting "You usually start with a big right swing. How much do you think I've been watching you?" not even you, who had been training with him, noticed that, but it was true. Bakugo could sometimes be predictable if pay attention to him closely enough. "I wrote an analysis for all the heroes I thought were amazing in my notebook. The one you blew up and threw away. My 'Deku' isn't always going to mean 'useless'! It means 'you can do it'!

***

"Deku..." Bakugo stood up, with his hands ready to blow an explosion at any time. He looked at him. His eyes betrayed his body stance "Even though you're scared..." Acting like he could take him on. "That's what I..." Acting like he is strong. Like- "That's what I hate about you!" a hero!
