The spell.. it worked! Luz and Hunter are both laying on the floor
"Don't crowd them! Are you two ok?" Eda asks
I look at them both. I wonder what they saw in the Emperor's mind.
Flapjack flies towards Hunter and tweets at him. Then he looks at me, places a hand over his mouth and starts to starts to tear up
"Hunter? Are you ok?" I ask him. I slowly walk towards him
He gets up, runs towards me and falls into my arms. He wraps his arms around my neck. We fall down onto our knees, as Hunter starts to sob.
"I can't *hic* go back. Please keep me safe, y/n... please.." He cries
I wrap my arms around him "Hunter, you're ok, I'm here, it's gonna be ok."
I wrap one arm around his torso and I let a hand slip into his hair, as I mumble sweet nothings to him.
Eda takes Luz to the kitchen to talk with her, as Hunter and I are left alone in the living room.
He's still crying hard. I don't think he'll stop anytime soon.
"I can't go back... I can't go back.." he keeps mumbling.
I kiss his head and look at him "Hunter, what did you see in there?" I ask him
He hesitates and sniffs. "Look, Hunter, you don't have to tell me right now. I just want to help you and Luz.."
His head pops up and he looks at me. "... I'm a grimwalker..."
I'm shocked at this. A grimwalker?
He pulls himself away from me and hugs his knees "Belos created me.. and the other golden guards... he lied to me for years..."
I stare at him with concern. I put my hand on his shoulder. "It's ok if you want to break up with me.. I'd understand." He mumbles
"What? No, Hunter.. I would never do that, never.. Hunter, grimwalker or not, I will always be there for you. Not only are you my boyfriend, you're my best friend and I'll always be yours, and you'll always be mine..." I say as I pull him into my arms
Immediately, he melts into my touch and cries into me again.
I hear him mumbling something over and over again. "Are you saying something Hunter?" I ask him
He looks at me "I love you.. I love you so so much.."
I smile at him and cup his cheek. I wipe his tears with my thumb "I love you too, Hunter." I whisper, as I kiss his forehead
He smiles as Flapjack joins the hug and we all snuggle up together
