As I grow up, I start to understand the importance of embracing our true selves. It means being genuine and authentic, not pretending to be someone we're not despite being disliked. It's like when you were in school, and you tried to fit in with a certain group of friends because you thought it would make you acceptable to society. Deep down, you knew it wasn't really you. Of course, don't be yourself if you're a jerk. But when we see something wrong happening around us or in the world, it's important to have the courage to speak up. It's about standing up for what we believe in and making a positive impact. Show the world your true interests and values, even if it means being different or disliked from the crowd or friends.

While blending in can help us make friends, it's not always a positive experience. Sometimes, we end up with shallow and toxic friends who may seem nice and fun sometimes. However, it can be challenging to deal with their negative behavior when it appears again. It's hard having a friend who always puts you or others down and makes you feel anxious. They might seem fun and fill your void, so you try to fit in with them. But over time, you realize that their toxic behavior is affecting your self-esteem and happiness. It's important to confront them and set boundaries to protect ourselves.

Being true to ourselves can be difficult, just like pretending to be someone we're not. Also, being true to yourself means being honest about your likes, dislikes, and opinions, even if it means risking rejection. It is crucial to prioritize self-respect and value our own opinions. We should embrace who we are and have confidence in our own skin. It's about being comfortable with ourselves and not seeking validation from others.

Unfortunately, there may be times when people leave us because we stand up for what we believe in. Some of your friends might not like that and decide to distance themselves from you. It can be painful, but we need to cultivate mental strength and accept that life is filled with challenges. We shouldn't expect people to stay forever, including our current friends. It's a part of life's ups and downs, and we should focus on finding genuine friends who appreciate and support us.

Remember, being true to yourself and surrounding yourself with genuine friends who appreciate and respect you is what truly matters. Stay strong and keep being you!
