Calum was having a great time. He had a big family with lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He loved them all so much. They all knew about his sexuality and were fine with it. He felt so lucky that his family acceptes him. His parents and sister know about him and Michael and they treat Michael like a second son.
After his graduation ceremony his mom and dad threw him a party. It had been going on since about 7:30. They had already eaten and adults were cleaning up before it was present time.
Calum's cousins were running around trying to kill each other as usual and Calum was speaking with his aunt. He suddenly heard the doorbell ring. He knew that there wer'nt anymore guests so he was confused at first. He excused himself from his conversation and went to answer it. When he opened the door what he saw almost broke his heart.
"Michael? What's wrong," He was standing there with a duffle bag over his shoulder and tear stained cheeks. It had started raining and the walk was pretty long from his house. Michael was drenched and shivered slightly. It was like finding a lost puppy who had been out in the cold for a while.
"Get in here you must be freezing your arse off," Michael stepped in the house and took off his shoes. Calum took his jacket off and threw it on the floor not caring if it got the floor wet. Calum's mom came around the corner and gasped.
"Oh my. Michael what happened. Are you alright dear?"
Instead of responding, Michael broke down into tears. Calum took hold of him and let Michael lean on him. He and his mom exchanged looks of concern and Calum started walking Michael up the stairs to his room. Once up there he sat on the bed with Michael.
"Baby what's wrong? Why are you crying? Was it your dad again?" Michael just weakly responded.
"He's not my dad anymore. He kicked me out of the house," He looked down like he was ashamed. Calum was furious.
"They can't do that! You're not 18 yet,"
"Well they won't let me back in the house,"
Michael was still looking down but Calum wouldn't let him think this was his fault. Well it may have been but he just wanted to comfort his boyfriend. He put his finger under Michael's chin and gently lifted his head. He placed a soft, passionate kiss to his lips. Michael meant so much to him and seeing him sad made him sad.
"We will figure something out for you. Until we can find you something permanent you can of course stay here. My parents love you like a son so you are welcome," Calum saw a small smile creep onto Michael's face.
"Thank you,"
The rest of the night was spent cuddling. Calum's mom told his family that there was an incident that needed to be handled and that they would give Calum gifts another time. The house cleared out and it was quiet because Calum's parents had gone to bed.
The two boys layed in Calum's bed and held eachother tightly. Michael had fallen asleep from the crying he had done that night. Calum remained awake looking at his boyfriend's beautiful face. He wondered what had gone down that night in his home that caused Michael this much pain. All he knew was that Michael was kicked out. He decided he would find out later and he just layed with Michael until he too, fell asleep to the soft snores that came from his boyfriend.
