After having my name assigned, I was powered off and taken for transportation, and obviously I don't remember what happened during then.
I woke up in a police station and uniform. 'this must be where i will work...' I thought. A quick scan of my location revealed that I was in Lewis Park police station. The name makes sense now, I guess.
"Welcome to your workplace!!!!" a bubbly girl said "I'm Christine, but everyone calls me Chris!" Her smile was wider than any I've seen. I scanned her body- aha! A LED band! Every Android has an LED ring around their wrist, to make sure that they aren't mistaken for humans.
"Hi, I guess. I'm Mary." I mumbled. I knew that she was only staring at me because she was curious, but to be honest, it came of sort of passive-aggressive.
"Who named you" she asked. I looked around the hall and tried to find the couple that brought me here. They were stood by a water dispenser chatting to another employee.
"Josh and Annie? They're father and daughter. Josh has been in charge of the police station for two years now, and Annie is one of the lead Detectives. She works with me :D" She blurted.
"So they're a big deal huh?" "Haha, you could say that. They earn more than everyone here combined"
"Damn. I wonder why they came for me instead of another employee"
"I don't know. I guess you're a pretty big deal then"
She turned back to me and smiled.
