When Ayaka and Rei were alone the room, the shrine girl looked questioningly at her friend. "You seem really worried," said the dark purple haired one. "Something's wrong with me today!" Rei looked at  her friend in confusion. She paused to allow the pink haired woman to continue.

"I don't know, I keep hearing that voice telling me to find a boy who also has the... the crystal of life with him." The older girl's eyes widened slightly. Did she just say the crystal of life? The dark purple haired had seen the crystal of life many times in her dreams. A woman spoke to her and asked her to protect the princess and the crystal of life.

"Oh the crystal of life?" the dark purple haired woman asked inconspicuously. "I have no idea what that is, but since it's called the crystal of life, it must be a crystal." said Ayaka. The two girls stared at each other when suddenly a vision appeared before their eyes.

A girl with long silver and white hair sat in a meadow while a woman stood next to her. He had dark purple hair and wore a sailor dress. Her skirt was red, otherwise everything was white. They stood with their backs so that Ayaka and Rei couldn't see who it was.

"Hey, did you just see what I saw?" The pink-haired woman called to her companion, her brow furrowed in concern. In an effort to spare her friend's rising anxiety, Rei instead shook her head in response. "I feel like I'm missing something," the dark pink-eyed woman lamented as she flung herself onto the couch behind her. "I just can't put my finger on it," she sighed, her eyes cast toward the floor.

The dark purple haired woman sat next to Ayaka and looked at her with a caring expression. "Could it be about the stress?" she asked softly, as if she was trying to ease Ayaka's mind. "I don't even have any stress right now," the pink-haired woman said defensively. "I've already completed my homework for the next week, and there aren't any tests coming up." At the same time, the dark purple-haired woman couldn't help but feel worried about her friend. If Rei were to reveal that she had also seen "it," she would put herself at risk, and the dark purple-haired woman didn't want that to happen. She didn't want to see her friend in danger, not under any circumstances.

As Ayaka looked at her friend with her characteristic questioning gaze, she posed a thought. "Lack of sleep?" she asked with concern, thinking that the cause of her friend's fatigue could be attributed to a lack of rest. The shrine girl mulled over the suggestion for a moment and realized that it may not be entirely untrue. "You make a good point, I suppose I haven't been getting enough sleep," she admitted, realizing that she may have been slacking in that area lately. "Perhaps you're right. I think I'll go home and get some rest," the pink haired friend said, grateful for the advice. As she walked away, Ayaka couldn't help but feel guilty for her lie. In reality, it wasn't a lack of sleep that was causing her friend's behavior, but something much more sinister.

"Rei, I'm having a birthday party on the coming Saturday, and I'll give you more information about it tomorrow," the pink-haired woman called out to her friend, turning to ask the dark purple-haired woman. Rei returned a smile and nodded, "Yes, of course. I'll meet you at the arcade then," she replied.

The shrine girl was lost in thought again, but Ayaka interrupted her train of thought. "What I told you stays between us, doesn't it?" Rei nodded again as she heard the door open and close then sank into her thoughts.

The girl that stood there before her was Rei, or as she was also known, Sailor Mars. Luna had informed them that they were Reborn. The individual seated next to her was unknown to Rei. It could have been Princess Serenity. However, no, Rei realized that was impossible, since the real Princess Serenity possessed the Silver Crystal. Maybe, just maybe, this person was in possession of both Crystal artifacts - the Silver Crystal and the Crystal of Life.

Should Rei tell Sailor Scouts and Luna about this? No, no, she couldn't! She had promised Ayaka and she wasn't going to break it. Maybe with the information from Ayaka, the dark purple haired woman could find out who the princess is. She closed her eyes and remembered the dream she had a few days ago.

Sailor Mars was standing in a marble hallway, it was dark, but the Martian warrior could still see everything. Her footsteps echoed on the walls. With slow steps she walked into a room that was lit inside. "Your Majesty, you wanted to speak to me." The Princess of Mars knelt before the Queen. Rei had theorized that she is a conversation from her old life. The queen with the long pastel purple hair nodded and gestured for Sailor Mars to get up. "Yes, Sailor Mars, I have."

"You have something on your mind, Your Majesty."

"I can feel my end drawing near." The queen turned and looked out the window.

"What does that mean?" The warrior of Mars knew what that meant, yet she wanted to be sure. "That means I'm dying, Sailor Mars." The warrior stood next to the queen and looked out the window where she saw the princess. "Why are you telling me this?" Without taking her eyes off the princess in the garden for a second, the dark purple-haired asked. "Sailor Mars, you are the one I trust most of the Royal Sailor Senshi." The pastel purple haired girl's gaze slid to the woman beside her.

"Me?" The woman with the dark purple hair also looked at the woman next to her. She was very confused as most of the time it seemed like the Queen didn't like the Princess of Mars. ''Yes, you.''

"Please, it is of utmost importance that you keep the Crystal of Life with you at all times," the Queen declared with urgency. Eyes closed, she then summoned the Legendary Crystal of Life, the power of which was palpable to Sailor Mars, even whilst in close proximity to it. "I entrust this great responsibility unto you, my trusted Sailor Mars. Safeguard my beloved daughter, as well as the Crystal of Life, with your life," the monarch implored, her voice echoing through the vast chamber.

"Yes, your majesty, I promise!" The Crystal of Life flew into the hands of the Dark Purple-Haired Warrior. Her eyes shone silver and she and the crystal became one. His power was incredibly strong. As if she could rule the world. Sailor Mars glowed. "If I die, the Crystal of Life will automatically be inherited to Princess Rosalie."

"But Queen, if it's automatically inherited to the Princess, then why did you give it to me?"

"If the evil attack us, they will think Rosalie have it." Sailor Mars nodded in agreement. The formidable energy of the crystals had imbued her and her companions with an unwavering resolve, instilling in them a sense of confidence that nothing could prevent them from delivering their duties to the best of their abilities. "Your majesty, I will do everything in my power to protect both you and the princess," the sailor proclaimed, her voice brimming with determination. She understood that the Queen's aloof demeanor towards her was due to the fact that no one was to be aware that Sailor Mars possessed the highly coveted crystal of life.

Rei exhaled a deep sigh, reflecting upon the information shared by her friends regarding the whereabouts of the Crystal of Life. Since Ayaka wasn't exuding the energy of the powerful artifact, she couldn't have been the princess she was searching for. However, the pink-haired woman's revelation that the crystal was in a boy only deepened her confusion. At this point, her only remaining option was to get some rest and gather more information. With a final sigh, Rei resolved to focus on her beauty sleep, although it was barely dusk.
