A year later

Rebecca was sitting in her room doing her homework when there was a knock on her door she stopped what she was doing 

"WHO IS IT" Rebecca yelled she knows wasn't any of her brothers since they never knock and that really annoys her when they do that

"It Maddy," she said Rebecca tells her it's unlocked Maddy walks in holding her son in her arms and he looks just like Matt, Matt was able to talk Maddy into naming their son Zane when he was born 

"Hey, what are you doing here," Rebecca asked she was happy to see her friend its just that Rebecca has been studying a lot as she really wants to pass 

"I was hoping you could watch Zane while Matt and I go on a date," Maddy asked she knew that if Rebecca couldn't she could ask Leah but since Maddy and Zac got into a fight she really didn't want to Zac was trying to tell her and Matt how to parent which did not go down well with Matt and Maddy when that happened.

"I wish I could but I have this big test coming up and I really need to study for it if I pass Brax said I could work anywhere I want," Rebecca tells her with a smile even though she couldn't look after Zane Maddy still stayed a bit to talk to Rebecca and even helped her on few things that she didn't understand with her homework, later that day Rebecca was at Brax's restaurant with VJ they were studying Brax walked up to them with Jayden in his arms he looks just like Brax but with Rickey's hair colour. 

"You guys want anything," Brax asked Rebecca and VJ he was very proud of how hard Rebecca has been working and studying with her HSC he wants the best for her as he did with Casey 

"No thanks Brax," Rebecca tells him she didn't look up at him as she was still studying and working on things Kyle thinks that she is studying too much and that its okay to take a break for a day and have fun he knows better than to say anything

"No thanks Brax" VJ says to him with a smile as he and Rebecca continue to study as Brax walked away 

That night Heath and the kids were down from the city and they were over at the Braxton house for dinner they were all having dinner Brax told Casey to tell Rebecca that dinner was ready Casey comes back after a bit and sits down next to Denny they were all outside having dinner in the backyard. 

"Where's Becca," Rickey asked when she saw that Casey came back but Rebecca didn't 

"She said that she has already had dinner when she was at Billie's," Casey tells her then he takes a bite out of his food Brax was starting to worry about his sister and thinking that she has been studying too much now that he thinks about it he wants her to have good grades but he doesn't want her to overdo it 

"Do you think she has been studying too hard" Brax asked Bianca his sister in law since she is a teacher and still works as one in the city 

"A bit but it's her last year at the HSC is a very stressful time for anyone," Bianca tells him and it was true it is Casey couldn't help but think there was more to it than maybe she was studying course there was something else going on she didn't want a face or Amit and with studying she can control that.

The next day Rebecca got up and got dressed in a nice blue tank top and some jeans and her favourite boots she walks into the kitchen where everyone was Jayden was watching his kid show in the lounge room with blue clues Rebecca made herself a glass of juice Brax walked up behind her she turned around to face him

"Morning Brax," Rebecca says as she finishes her juice she puts the glass in the sink she drank her juice fast 

"Slow down what's the hurry," Brax asked Rebecca he will be happy when she is finished with her HSC that way he can stop worrying so much if she is working herself way too hard 

"Nothing I just have to meet Evie so we can study I will be home late today," Rebecca says before she walks out the door to meet up with Evie before Brax could say anything else, Brax looks to Phoebe who was just as worried. 

A little later Brax was working at his restaurant when Billie walked in and she walks up to Brax 

"Hi, Brax, have you seen Becca anywhere," Billie asked she had stopped by Brax's house and Kyle told her that she wasn't there and he wasn't sure where she had gone as he was in the shower when she had left 

"She's with Evie studying," Brax tells Brax Billie smiles thanks him and leaves she knows where Evie likes to study.

Billie goes to the diner when she walks in she sees Rebecca sitting at a table with Evie she walks over to them she gave Evie a look that reads get lost 

"Becky can I talk to you alone," Billie asked Evie got the feeling that was best if she left not wanting to get on the bad side of Billie 

"I was just going I have met up with Josh anywhere," Evie says as she stands up she picks up all of her books and walked away Billie sits in the seat that Evie was sitting in Rebecca looked at her best friend 

"What up," Rebecca asked her Billie gave her a look Bille knows something was going on and she has an idea what that could be since Rebecca has been acting weird for a few months now ever since VJ's birthday party.

"The way your acting has it got anything to do with Marty," Billie asked there was no other thing Bille could think of everyone knew that Ash has feelings for Rebecca well everyone apart from Rebecca she was the only one that did not seem to notice that he has she was blind to that fact

"I don't know what you're talking about I just want good grades, me and Marty are only friends," Rebecca tells her Billie could tell that she was trying to sound like she wasn't lying Billie could always tell when Rebecca was lying and that it had something to do with her brother

"Your my best friend so I know when your lying to me," Billie says as she looks at her Rebecca takes a breath as she looked back at her best friend who she loved like a sister. 

Rebecca knows that she has to tell Billie about how she feels about Ash she just doesn't know how she can hide anything from her no matter how hard she has tried before in the past 

"Okay it's about Marty I like him and not in a brother way like I have always seen him I feel different when I'm around him I think I'm falling for him and I can't fall for him for one I'm still in high school and two his best mates with Brax," Rebecca tells Billie she was scared of what she was going to say but all Billie was doing was smiling which made Rebecca very confused 

"What are you smiling for," Rebecca asked since Billie's smile got bigger 

"About time you told me you have the hots for my brother," Billie says she has known Rebecca even before VJ's party she noticed at the Christmas party 

"How did you know" Rebecca asked since she thought she hid it very well in not letting anyone catch on to that she liked Ash in that way 

"I have known since the Christmas party" Billie tells her with a grin
