Alfred: "I can't believe this."
In a diner just outside the slums, in one of the booths there was a man reading a newspaper that had in the front page saying 'Emperor's Death'. The man then folded the newspaper to reveal a older man who was in his older forties with graying hair and green eye's, his name being Alfred.
Alfred: "Things seem to just be getting worse."
He pinched the bridge of his nose and took out a coin in order to pay for the coffee, the old man was began to walk back to his old house. On the way there he noticed that there was another foreigner kid, he didn't pay any mind at first since there was many other young men and women who come to the capital in order to pursue fame and fortune, only to find suffering and despair.
???: "Excuse me, do you know where the nearest medical facility is?"
Alfred looked over to see that the young man was talking to one of the local gangs most violent and short tempered thug. So Alfred expected the kid to either be killed or beaten to a pulp. The sad reality is that no one will help him if that were to happen.
Thug: "Get out of here kid, unless you want a beating."
???: "Just answer the question and I will get out of your hair."
The thug didn't even bother answering back as he threw a punch towards the young man, but he the young man ducked under his punch and jabbed the thug in the stomach. The thug went down the pain in his stomach dropped him to his knees and began to puke up his lunch onto the floor. That was when the young man walked away, with nobody batting an eye to who that was, after all he could just be from a rival gang or another kid from some village.
Alfred: "Just another day in the slums."
Alfred also just walked past the guy, after all it's not the worst thing that has happened in the slums. He's seen murders happen in midday with no one wanting to help, the guards are just as corrupt as the gang that they work for.
Alfred: "Home sweet home."
Alfred stopped at a two story building that has seen better days, it's walls were full of graffiti, one of the windows were shattered, and the sign that used to say 'doctor' was scratched out. He opened the door to find countless empty bottles and dust all over the place, along with a few bugs retreating into the dark corners. Alfred walks into the middle of the room where he sits down at the table with a bottle of whisky in his hand, and in the other a picture of a happier time.
Alfred: "I'm sorry, I wish I could have saved you."
Alfred took a swig of the whiskey, but was quickly interrupted by the sound of three distinct knocks on the door.
Alfred: "God damn it. I don't want anything that your are bloody selling!"
The knocking continued, which made Alfred angrily walk over to the door, thinking that it was Falcone's gang.
Alfred: "I swear if you are with Falcone, I'm going to knock you upside the head."
Alfred then swung the door open, only to find the same young man he saw before. Now he had a good look at him to see that he had (E/c) eyes and (H/l) (H/c) hair, from what Alfred could tell that you were about 15.
