Grandparents

Zein was still hugging his brother. Panay naman ang pagpapakalma nito sa kanya dahil umiyak siya. It's been a really long time.

Nang okay na siya ay kumawala siya at tumingin sa kuya niya.

"Napakasama ko namang kuya kung hindi ko sabihin sayo na you've grown up so well. How are you?" 

"I'm fine, kuya. Isa akong elementary teacher." I told him. He smiled at me at niyakap ako ulit.

"I'm sorry I didn't do anything 10 years back then. Tinignan lang kitang umalis." He caressing my cheeks while saying it. He's love language is being touchy.

"I'm already good. Kung ano man ang nangyari noon. Let's move on." I assured him.

"Nga pala, I want you to met someone, kuya." Tumaas ang kilay nito at tinignan ako na naka-kunot ang noo.

"Who?" He coldly asked. I just laugh then pull my son at my side.

"Kuya, this is my son, Zandro Miguel you can call him Zamiel. He's your nephew."

Like what I've expected. Gulat na gulat siya nang makita ang anak ko. Napalunok siya bago nilapitan ang anak ko.

"Whoa he's so tall. How old are you kiddo?"

Napakamot naman si Zamiel bago sumagot. "I'm 10 turning 11 po."

Kuya just blinked thrice then look at me tapos kay Zamiel. Pasalit-salit ito ng tingin.

"I'm not sure but anak mo ba talaga to? He didn't look like you."

Nawala ang ngiti ko at umirap. Well, ano pa nga bang magagawa ko. Nakuha lahat sa potangina ama. Bwesit!

"He looks like someone I know. Wait! You didn't , oh my god!" Gulat na gulat na sabi niya. Maybe what he think is correct. Lumapit siya sa anak ko at niyakap.

"It's nice to meet you. I'm so happy I've got a nephew already.  I thought youㅡ Wow. Anyways, I'm sure mom and dad will be happy if they met their grandson."

Nawala ang ngiti ko at napalunok. I'm not sure kung magugustuhan ba nila si Zamiel o hindi. But Jacques said they want to meet me and my son. Hindi naman siguro nila ako ipapahiya right?

Kuya sit with us. He and Zamiel keeps talking about stuffs. Napatingin siya sa akin nang malaman na naglalaro ng football ang anak ko. He even raised his eyebrow when Zamiel mention the Greyfield University.

"Why do you want to be a football player if you can be a basketball player or tennis or teakwondo."

Zamiel just shook his head then answer him.

"Alam mo Tito, when I saw someone playing football in TV. Gusto ko maging katulad niya. He's my inspiration and I choose his number as my lucky charm."

"Whoa. That's cool. It might be Leonel Messi. What's your jersey number? 10?"  Mabilis na umiling si Zamiel.

"Hindi po. Si Coach Santino Rivero po. He's my inspiration in every game I've been played."
