You climbed back in bed, tears threatening to escape your eyes and waited until Zoe and Joe left to go to the Gleam offices for a meeting.
After much consideration and a battle in your brain, you couldn't help but think that Zoe was right, maybe you were bad for each other. But how could something so bad be something so good?
You know you loved Joe, that you were sure of, but there was now the possibility that you were dragging Joe down and holding him back from being able to be a normal adult.
Flipping through a pile of Polaroids, tears trickled down your flushed cheeks. All the memories, all the happy times, were you really ready to give that up? Yet you were not willing to come between Joe and Zoe.
You knew how close they had always been and couldn't stand to ruin a bond so strong.
You gradually began gathering your things, packing them in a suitcase before shutting the door behind you, leaving nothing but a letter to Joe.
