Rhyming Hearts

These emotions, undescribable by words, but only by lyrics,
The ending of our time was just the restart of the clock ticks,
Where it's okay to dwell between the past and the future when reminiscing
'Cause even the clock hands tick between both, before settling to the present

Where falling in love didn't mean breaking, but ricocheting back
Where mistakes were the antagonist of the story and not the character
Where rhymes were enough for when syllables lacked
And the author of the story was fate, not our unachieved cans

All these solutions for our sad-plotted love and tainted hearts,
When implementation was more of a fix than the fix itself in our art,
Happiest melodies caressing our happy verses from the start,
But if these lines become blurry, just know that this pen was never ours

Every gap between the words had us questioning our existence,
When it was what made sense, the most for our presence ,
Leaving midway was not the end, it's just the stanza's breaking
Poetry so long and never ending, because it kept reinventing

And whenever I felt like, an old tossed frayed page writing,
You drew hearts and stars on me, feeling my poetical love instead of reading
Heart shaped constellations, and wishing on stars, falling
This was a wish only to be fulfilled, when this love was finally ending
