We got inside the car and after a 6 minute drive, we instantly hit traffic. "Shoot, I didn't know there was so much traffic. " I put my hand on his leg to tell him it was alright. We sat for about 7 minutes till we finally moved. An inch. "This is a disaster, I'm so sorry y/n, we would probably be half way at this point, we will never make it in time and i-" I put up my finger to stop him talking. "Don't apologize, it's not your fault, I don't mind really! " I smiled and he returned one back softly.
After an hour we escaped what seemed like forever. He celebrated quickly then hit the gas. We zoomed to the theme park to find out it closed early. Pearce was fuming at this point. "Why, everytime I try and do something nice, it turns to a disaster, it could only happen to us huh? " he put his head in his hands and I just stroked his hair gently. "Pearce its alright, don't stress, I'm sure we can do it another night! " he sat up and started up the car.
"Where are we going? " I asked, he looked at me with small tears. "I guess I'll just take you home and plan out another night. " he said bluntly then hit the road. The car journey was dead silent, Pearce looked so sad as he reached my hotel. He lead me to my front door and hugged me. "I'm sorry y/n, it was supposed to be a fun night. I guess it'll be the boring nights I normally have, well see ya small pie." That was a nickname he called me cause I was only 5,2 whereas he was 5,9. i waved bye and shut my door, I felt so bad for him, he only wanted a good night with just us two and traffic ruined it. I messaged him saying goodnight
