Kai sighed as he scrolled through his phone, waiting for a reasonable time to leave the house. He heard a yell from Nya downstairs. "Kai! You ready yet?!"

"In 5 minutes!" He responded. He felt a joyous bubble rise in his chest, as it was the first prescription he was getting for the two of them.

"You lazy ass-" Nya retorted. "Aren't you the least bit excited for it?!"

"Don't be impatient, Nya! I'm going soon-" But he crawled along, reaching for his shoes to put them on as he heard his sister storm down the stairs. "On second thought, I'll go now, heheh.."

"You better-" Nya laughed at her older brother when he almost fell off the couch while grabbing his favourite red Converse pair. "You're such a goofy fuck sometimes."

"Didn't I tell you not to swear?" Kai folded his arms after he brushed dust off his dirtied sweatpants.

"What are you, my dad?" She snickered before they both burst out laughing. Considering how much they play-fought with each other (verbally and physically), they didn't mind joking about the lack of 'parent' in their lives. Man, joking about things that seem really sad is funny.

"No, but I'm 18 and legally an adult." He smirked, hoping to have shot down his sister's arguments, but what he didn't expect was a retaliation.

"Yeah, mhm, so when are you, since you're so responsible, Mr Adult.." She drew out the silence for effect, then she poked him in the side. "...going to get our prescriptions?! Plus I'm 16 it doesn't matter-"

"I told you I'm going now-" Kai scrambled over towards the door and grabbed its handle. "You're not coming with?"

Nya looked at him with a deadpan expression. "Of course I am. Can you not tell that I'm fully dressed and ready to go?"

Kai facepalmed. "Not very attentive, sorry."

"Don't worry, captain caffeine," Nya chuckled. "We can stop by that cafe that you love on the way back."

"Really?!" Kai's eyes lit up with a fiery (pun intended) passion. "Thanks Nya, you're the best little sister I could ask for!"

"And I'll pay, as long as you do all the talking once we're at the pharmacy." Which earned another bright grin.

"I love ya sis." Kai opened the door. "Let's go!"

They walked out to take in the sights of the nearby city they were headed to. Oh Ninjago City, so grand and so big, but nothing would impress the two as much as their peaceful little village did. The pharmacy was only a 10-20 minute walk away, and luckily, the path seemed clear of any diversions. The two spent a short time chatting to a passerby that seemed to recognise them, but otherwise, the trip went smoothly. Once they got what they needed from the pharmacy, Nya put the bag inside her backpack and they went to the cafe.

"I'll have.." Kai hummed as he squinted at the menu. "I'll have a caramel frappe with a millionaire's shortbread."
