You and Dazai sat on top of box in the abandon warehouse. You were resting your head on the brunette's shoulder while reading the book titled 'complete guide to suicide' together. You were hugging the male from his side who silently enjoyed it. The silent is comfortable for the two of them. Despite you being angry and grumpy most of the time you secretly liked affection but wouldn't admit it.
"Y/n-san, dazai-san, what are you two reading?" Atsushi asked from on top of other box, hugging his knees close to his chest.
"A weird book" you replied.
"I'm surprised you two can read when it's this
dark" The boy praised.
"We have a good vision" Dazai said.
"Besides. we already know everything that happens in this book"
"Why are you two reading it, then?" Atsushi
sweatdropped at the two detectives.
"I'm bored and I don't have anything else to do plus Dazai thinks it's a good book so he's going to read it again stop asking so many questions" you said, lifting up your head up a little from the male's shoulder only to be push back down by the male. You grumbled but continued reading anyways.
Atsushi feel the jealousy building up from inside him and he try to ignore it.
"Will the tiger really come?" He asked.
"Yeah" Atsushi breath hitched from Dazai
answer.
"Don't worry. Even if the tiger come, it'll be no
match for us" You said, this time lifting your
head up completely from the male's shoulder
and stretching your body with a smirk.
"We may not look like much, but we're still the
agents of the armed detective agency" Dazai
finishing your line, not take off his eyes from
the book.
The grey haired boy buried his head in his knees
and a small laugh leaving his mouth, "You two
sure are amazing, having so much confidence..
As for me, even though I was in an orphanage, I
was always called a 'good-for-nothing'" His
voice became quieter each second but the two
adults still can hear it.
"That's not all, I don't even know where i'll sleep
tonight, or how i'll fill my stomach tomorrow"
He continue.
'You're a nuisance to everyone.'
'Just disappear. Disappear and begone from this world'
"Trash like me should probably just die in the
middle of nowhere.. or better still get eaten" He
keep rambling mindlessly. You and Dazai just
stared at him, not a single word come from both of your mouths.
"Well then" You looked up the sky from the see through rooftops of the warehouse.
"Any moment now right, Osamu?"
"Yes, it'll be soon" As dazai said that, at the same time a loud 'thumph' can be heard behind Atsushi.
Atsushi flinched and started to back away from
his previous place "What? I- i just heard
something back there"
You clicked your tongue as a response. Not minding what the terrified boy just said.
"I bet that's the tiger, Y/n-san, Dazai-san" Atsushi continue to said in fright.
"No, I think the wind just knocked something
down" Dazai replied, you and Dazai just continued to read the book.
"It's man-eating tiger! It's come to eat me!" He
yelled.
Dazai shut the book abruptly as it give a 'pap' sound, probably because how loud Atsushi was
now that interrupted his reading.
"Calm down, will ya brat?" You stretched again
before continue "Tigers don't show up from the
places like this"
