Beep......

Beep......

Beep......

"Shut up," I said as I reached over and turned off my alarm. My new routine starts off like every other person who now works. I was enjoying my sleep one minute and then the annoying sound woke me up the next. I won't deny that I miss the times when I would stay in bed, but those days are somewhat gone now. And it's like I'll get paid for being lazy.

"Ugh... What time is it?"I say while looking at the bedside clock with very little energy.

"Fuck... I slept in. I need to get going if I'm gonna make it to work."

It has been a while since I started staying here, maybe a week or so? I don't know, but it did feel that way. Within that time I managed to get used to my new surroundings, keeping in touch with my parents whenever I can and finding a job. I was lucky that the rent in this apartment was cheap, though, it was a pain in the ass to move in the first place.

I like how my life is here. Yes, it's nothing much or anything fancy but one can't be too picky. However, I couldn't help but felt that something was, wrong. I've tried my best to figure out what it could be, but I couldn't find the answer. So I just decide to brush it under the rug and leave it there. And I doubt that it could be something serious, maybe it's just homesickness.

"Should I take a shower?" I thought to myself as I looked at my bathroom door.

"...Yeah... I smell horrible right now. Plus, I don't think I've showered in like three days."

I finally got up from my bed and walked into the bathroom, striping myself from my pyjamas and tossing them in the basket, and stepped into the shower. There's nothing more refreshing than having a nice, comfortable wash when waking up. I honestly wish I could stay in here forever, but I'm tight on time so I had to make it quick. Once I was finished, I quickly stepped out, dried myself down, put on my uniform and made my way out of the apartment.

I walked down the streets to the nearby bus stop and waited. That, however, didn't last long, from the moment I arrived; the bus was already here. Normally they would take forever to show up, but they seemed to show up on time. Maybe earlier than expected. But how would compline about that? Not me. As long as it arrives and I get to work, I'm happy.

I quickly got on and sat down in the nearest sit. The ride was peaceful, however, I couldn't help but feel very uncomfortable. At first, I didn't understand why that was until I raised my head up; only to realize that someone was looking at me. I couldn't bring myself to say anything, so I just kept my stare on the stranger across from me.

"That guy's been staring at me this whole time..." I thought as my eyes began to study the stranger's appearance. Though there was nothing much I could go on to describe him as a person. He stood at least 5'8 tall, with long messy black hair which looked like it wasn't brushed in a while. Eyes that were very wide open with bags under them and a huge ass smile to go with it, completely showing his teeth. His clothes; much like his hair, were black. Everything, his shoes, pants, shirt and hoodie jacket. The only two things that caught my attention were the creepy red eye on his shirt, and that I can faintly see cuts on his upper arms. I won't deny that I'm slightly concerned for him. Nothing was side, just silence. I hadn't realized that I was still staring at him, so it got me thinking about something.

"Do I think he's cute?" I thought to myself as I kept my stare, looking over the stranger and making up mental keynotes.

"Ugh, no way. He's weird looking and it's creepy how he keeps smiling... Plus, I don't think he's blinked his eyes at all..."

Oddly enough, time must have passed by quickly as I noticed that I'm nearly at work. Who would have thought that making eye contact with a stranger would pass the time? The thought of it alone also sounded weird but still! Once the bus has reached my stop, I quickly got up from the sit and got off.

"Alright... Time for work..." I said to myself as I walked into the gas station.

"Slow day..."

As the hours passed by, nothing much really happened. To simply say, hardly anyone stopped by, which was somewhat strange to me. I would often see people come and go here; get fuel, food & drink, some cigarettes and just go. But none of that happened today. Honestly, it was kind of boring. Nothing exciting was happening, that was until I noticed something. Or rather felt the presence of a person.

"Huh...?" I felt more wide awake as someone walked up to me, only to see a very familiar stranger.

"Oh... It's that creep from the bus..."

"Hi." Says the stranger as he greeted me.

"Uh... Hi? How can I help you, sir?"

"What's your name?"

"...Y/n..."

"That's definitely one of the names I've heard. I'm-" Just as he was about to say his name, something happened to my hearing and my vision. Everything around me looked like it was moving, shifting, while all I could was a static-like sound.

"But you can call me John Doe."
