Her eyes gently began to open; she looked beautiful under the gentle light of dawn as it crept through the bedroom curtains, but I had always known that since the first time that I saw her. As she woke, she took in her surroundings, looking first at the curtains and walls, seeing the bed she was in, my bed, no, our bed, and finally seeing me. I was sat in my favourite chair, smiling at her, watching her begin to remember and understand.

She opened her eyes wide and began to scream. I sighed, collected my clipboard and left, making sure to lock the door behind me.

Perhaps the results will be better tomorrow.

I will wait until then.
