You jumped as an alert came to you from your wrist watch on your desk as you shot up out of surprise. You had just seen probably the weirdest dream you ever could have imagined, but you quickly looked at the message, seeing it was from your commander. For about a month at that point, you'd been training at S.H.I.E.L.D. to hopefully help make the world a better place. You got up and suited up in your shield uniform, nothing too busy as you walked out your dorm and down the hall of Shields' main base of operations known as the Triskeleon. You once again looked at the message, this time on your phone to see that it said, 'It's your lucky day, rookie. The director is signing you up for a mission with two of the big ones.' You never really understood the unnecessary cryptic messages from your commander, but personally, you were hoping it meant what you think it meant.
"Comander Richard, Sir!" You said as you walked up to the man in front of you and saluted. "At ease (Your/Name). No need for formalities right now, I believe you are familiar with Director Fury to my left." He said as he gestured to the eyepatched individual next to him, as usual, wearing a black trench coat. "Yes, pleasure to meet you, Director." You said as you eased up and extended your hand for him to shake. He returned with a gloved hand and then said to your commander, "Kid's polite, got potential. I see why you recommended them." You were slightly confused as your Comander stated, "Ah, sorry for keeping you in the dark. But you have been tasked with joining a strike team along with Captian Rogers and Natasha Romanoff to retake a ship called the Lumerian Star. You'll be briefed on the plane over by agent Rumlow. You are to gear up and head to the take-off point immediately."
"Yes sir!" You said as you professionally but quickly headed off to the armory while inside you were going nuts. Since the attack on New York in 2012, you'd always had an affinity with the Avengers, so when you came of proper age, you interviewed to become a part of Shield to help anyone who needed it. As you finished packing your gear, you heard a voice behind you, a casual mid-tone males that just didn't belong to the person speaking, "Hey there, buddy. Goin' somewhere?" You sighed as you turned with a grin on your face to the creature in front of you. Since you were a kid and had found that strange artifact, you'd had this black creature constantly following you around. No one else could see it, mainly because they had the ability to choose who saw them, but you were okay with that. "Yeah, I've been assigned a mission with THE Capitan America." You said as you walked out the door with the creature following you.
"Woo. The big one! Nice job, Buddy!" The creature said as it grabbed you and gave you a noogie. You lightly laughed before you wiggled out of its grasp and fixed your hair. "Remember, no contact when in public Kya." You said as you made your way through the Triskeleon, quickly making your way up to the launch bay, where you soon spotted the man himself. Steve Rogers, aka Capitan America, was standing with who you recognized as Rumlow, the one who was going to be leading the mission. As you approached, they turned to you, and you couldn't help but plant your feet and salute the Capitan while saying, "(Y/n) (Last/Name) reporting for duty, sir!" The age-old war hero chuckled as he walked up and stuck his hand out to you.
"At ease, rookie, it's a pleasure to meet you. I've heard about some of your work here in your service." Cap said as you returned the handshake. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get this party started." The Creature said as you removed your hand from Steve's and nodded to the both of them before getting on the ship.

You sat on the quinjet you'd boarded hours before currently lost in your thoughts on the mission at hand, you'd been assigned to recon duty with a Squad of troops to find the hostages on the Lumerian Star that had been taken over by a bunch of foreign goons. As you were thinking about this, you felt a tap on your shoulder as you lightly jumped and turned to see Natasha Romanoff, aka The Black Widow looking at you as she said, "You ready? We're approaching the drop zone." You quickly panicked and jumped up as you got on your gear and went for a parachute, but you were knocked aside as another agent shoved you to the side. "Hey!" You said as you got up, dusting yourself off as the agent who'd bumped into you just gave you a side glance. "Coming up on the drop zone..." The Pilot said through the radio and you quickly made your way to the back of the jet, where you saw Cap and Natasha now talking, Nat mentioning a woman you'd heard about who worked in Statistics. But you didn't pay attention as the hangar door opened, and you stepped forward, ready to jump. "Heads up Buddy," the creature, who was still by your side, said as they looked out into the distance, "Looks like the clouds might make the door slippery."
