School had finally ended on Friday, and Will and Mike go out on their bikes and ride to mikes place. Will actually planned on staying the night so he packed a spare change of clothes and stuff in his backpack
"Hey Will"
"Yeah Mike"
"When we get to my house my parents shouldn't be home so we can just chill in the living room instead of the basement if you want"
"Oh okay, Cool!"
"Mike I was also wondering what games do you have on the Nintendo exactly"
"Oh well, there's a lot of games... But I think the multiplayer ones are Excitebike, Balloon Fight, and River City Ransom"
"cool!"
"There's probably more but I can't remember and if you want to play a single player can we can just take turns"
"Oh yeah of course"
You can see a twinkle in Wills eyes, he always wanted a Nintendo but couldn't afford one. and now him and Mike are gonna be playing on one basically all day, it's like a dream come true for Will, and Mike was just as excited as he has been wanting to hang out with Will for a while
just the two of them.
They make it to mikes house and lucky just like Mike said they weren't home so lucky for them they could play video games upstairs so Mike and Will quickly set the console up q and decided to start with Excitebike
The game was very difficult, to say the least, especially for Will he has only ever played arcade games so he was having a hard time with the game and started to get a bit frustrated
"Dude you good"
"Yeah Mike that game is just.. Really hard"
Will shoulders stiffened and he looked down relaxing his neck after around an hour or two up looking up at the TV and Mike thought Will was upset and was quick to defuse any anger
"You wanna play something else?"
"Yeah sure. Sorry if I seem mad I just can't figure this game out"
"No worries man I mean there's like hundreds of games on here"
"Your right let's choose something else"
Will and Mike laugh at their little jokes to each other and decide to look at the games, and the game Donkey Kong caught Wills eyes
"Mike can we play Donkey Kong"
"Sure also it's a single player so we can take turns"
"Oh okay you go first so I can see how to play"
"Cool"
As Mike played he can feel Will's eyes look at him and then look at the TV. Back and forth trying to see what control does what even though it was a fairly simple game, Will seemed to be deep into trying to figure it out because he didn't wanna mess up like last time and embarrass himself again.
"Here you try now"
"Oh okay!"
As Will played he got used to the game quickly it was easier than Excitebike so he had very few problems getting good, all Mike did was look at Will paying no mind to the screen. seeing Will so passionate and excited about playing something is so fulfilling to Mike, it reminded him of how they used to play DnD...
Mike looks at Will in a deep trance but quickly snaps out of it as Will had celebrated getting a better score than Mike
Mike celebrated with him even though he wasn't paying attention one bit
"SEE I BEAT YOU!!"
"Good job Will!"
Will had laid down after that he was so happy and he didn't wanna try doing something else and ruin the moment
Mike saw Will lay down and decided to join him
"Hey if you want I can grab the DVDs from downstairs and bring them up here"
"Depends on when your parents are supposed to get home"
"I don't know but if you want we can go downstairs and watch movies there"
"Yeah sure we have to make popcorn first though"
"Yeah and my mom got Kool-Aid packets so we can make some"
"Really!! I have been wanting some for so long"
