Comet smiled as the Dragon scales were handed to him, clinking between his talons.
Long after Yarrow had gone, a vibrant violet and white silk wing came from behind the canvas backing of the stall.
"Dad Dad! Look how much I sold today!" Comet beefed with pride, hoping to even get the slightest reaction.
Her father stared down at the pouch hanging across Comet's neck, then glanced at the paper with a list of sold items.
Comet's smile faded as his ears drooped down. "You could have done better. You're lucky I even got you to work here instead of somewhere Lady Jewel would have put you. Away from your siblings"
He turned to see his wing buds then shuffled away with a quiet apology. He climbed out to see his home in the upper part of Jewel Hive, his little sister waving frantically at home from afar.
"Cooooooomeeeeettttttttttt! Come onnnnnn" Comet made his way to Floss, warm flooding lighting surrounding her and their home.

Background: Comet is a 5 year old dragonet which would have been assigned to work as a servant for a hivewing family. Instead, Hornbeetle (his father) stepped in and got Comet to work for his stall. Floss is a bright pink and purple silk wing, while Tangerine was a sunset orange and yellow- imitating the colours of their 'uncle'. Dragonfruit is a pinky red and off white silk wing/rain wing which is only 1 year old.
