Chapter 7

At the Liu Family Estate

Shen Qingqiu rests outside in the large exquisite gardens of the Liu Family estate comfortably in a high grade extremely expensive wheelchair that the general already had prepared for him 

It's been a few months since he was brought here and a lot of things have happened since then

His treatment to say none the least was excruciatingly painful during the first few weeks. 

He spent most of his time going in and out of the operating table as they performed one surgery to another on his broken body

Having his bones broken again so they could be reset to their proper alignment was far from fun 

Though it was nice of them to remove the broken bone fragments that were poking his nervous system which helped lessen the chronic pain he felt in his foot and other various parts of his body. 

With the bones properly reset he also had an easier time moving around as well as he no longer felt his muscle or tendons pull in weird parts. 

Luckily they were able to flush most of the drug out of his system ending the constant migraines and nausea he used to suffer on a daily basis

He also became less prone to dizziness and tiredness as he was when he was still living in the brothel

The healers had high hopes that with proper care and rehabilitation he would be able to lead a somewhat normal lifestyle until the end of his short lifespan at the very least... 

Unfortunately for all their efforts, the healers weren't able to help him recover the time he had already lost 

They were only able to stabilize his condition and stop the deterioration process in its tracks for now

But the former courtesan couldn't care less and was more than grateful to them for giving him the chance to at the very least experience a normal life something far more than what scum like him deserved

All of the people in the household (well except for the bitter head butler whom he managed to shut up with a few words) would reprimand him for calling himself scum when he was far from it 

They would tell him and praise him for how beautiful he was inside out always making him furiously blush red to no ends 

Everyone couldn't almost help but squeal inside at how adorable the former courtesan was most especially Jun Xin who had the chance to witness his master's adorable side every single day.

Jun Xin had to fight literally every other servant while his master wasn't looking just to defend his position 

The general himself had to intervene to prevent his household from falling into complete and utter chaos

In the end, they ended up making a new routine and management system from scratch courtesy of the young mistress when it came to serving the members of the Liu family household and their guests most especially Shen Qingqiu. 

The former courtesan was genuinely surprised and shocked at how easily the Liu clan and those serving them easily accepted his presence so naturally not minding the fact that he was a former prostitute 

As it turns out many of the people here came from all different walks of life including his own personal attendant whom he had learned was once a war orphan who had been generously taken in by an old servant here and eventually came to serve here in the estate himself once his adoptive guardian retired

The general's lieutenant Yang Yixuan had been a child of a prostitute born and raised in the red light district until he was rescued by the general and joined the army under his savior's command
