Forget what they say about love, I always used to rely on the stories of finding your soul mate, sparks flying and all that crap, it's just not realistic.
When I confessed to the person I loved, she said she liked Tammy Thompson. Tammy Thompson of all people??? I never understood, but now I think I do.
It's cold and wet and I'm going to meet Eddie "the freak" Munson at 12am on a Thursday just because he said we needed to talk about Dustin. This kid is more trouble than he's worth, honestly, he's always getting me into stupid situations like this.
I rub at my arms, trying to warm them up whilst regretting not bringing a coat. Upon reaching the place Munson told me to meet him I looked around to find noone. No sign that anyone had been there either. I leaned against one of the trees, running a shaky hand through my hair before immediately wrapping it around myself to try and stay warm. Why did I agree to this again?

Eddie walked through the woods, swatting at leaves until he saw Steve leaning against a tree. He smirked to himself, and decided to sneak up on him. As Eddie got closer he realised Steve was muttering to himself. He leaned his arm against the tree just above Steve and leaned in close.
"Hey Big boy, who you talking to?" Eddie purred, smirking still.
Steve jumped out of his skin and almost tripped over a root before Eddie caught him which caused his blush to worsen.
"Ahaha, very funny. You're lucky I didn't bring my bat with me. I could've killed you." Steve sighed, straightening up. He let go of Eddie and shuffled back slightly. "So. Dustin? Is he okay?"
"Oh yeah, Henderson's fine" Eddie said non-chalant as he sat down on the bench, leaning back against the table part.
"So why am I here at-" he checked his watch so he could be as painfully precise as possible. "12.17 am in the cold and wet"
Eddie chuckled, removing his vest and jacket. He threw his jacket at Steve, putting his vest back on. He caught it and stared down at it before putting it on.
"This doesn't answer my question Munson" Steve sighed, sitting next to him. He leaned forward on his knees, biting at his nails. Whatever he wanted, he was worried about it.
"I-" he sighed, standing up. "It doesn't matter"
"What?" He furrowed his brows in confusion "It's obviously not nothing, considering you dragged me out here at 12am in the freezing cold."
"Im sorry, I'll just catch you tomorrow at work"
Eddie started to walk away before Steve stood up and grabbed his hand.
"Please...talk to me" he sighed, locking eyes with him. "Is it the nightmares again? Or your scars? Cus I'm more than happy to take you back to the hospital if you need"
"No! I mean, a little but that doesn't matter I can survive." He turned around fully, holding Steve's hands. "I guess I just wanted to see you..."
"We're spending the day with Henderson tomorrow, we're gonna see a movie, right?"
"I know...it's just, I missed you and I-" He stuttered out, tucking a loose strand of hair behind his ear.
Steve stared at him, the moon lighting up every pale feature. The way his lips twitched into a half smile, covered mostly by his hair. Steve grabbed his face and pulled him into a kiss. He pulled back, clearing his throat.
"I'm sorry, I don't know-" He chuckled awkwardly.
Eddie pulled him back, their lips colliding as he cupped his face. Steve ran his hands through Eddie's hair with a smile. He froze, pulling back with a shaky sigh. He kept eye contact with Eddie, whose eyes hung with confusion and sorry. He quickly looked anywhere but at him, running a shaky hand through hair as he backed away.
