"Juicy." Jere smiles, taking a seat beside Belly. "I'm in."
Jake and Steven decide to sit out for the game. That leaves me, Belly, Jere, Nicole, Shayla, Gigi, Conrad, and Cameron— who I didn't notice was here until just now. Jake and Steven walk a few feet away to play a game with the small beanbags instead.
I sit down beside Belly and finish off my drink. She fills my glass up to the brim, laughing as she does the same to hers after. My eyes widen. I don't think I've ever seen Belly drink so much in my life.
"Okay. I'll go first," Nicole says. "Never have I ever... snuck out of my house to meet up with a boy."
Shayla and the girl with the blonde hair drink. I look over to Belly. She shakes her head and raises her eyebrows. I shake mine, too, and we both turn to Shayla, who's asking the next question.
"Never have I ever had sex in my own house."
Again, Belly and I don't drink while all of the others do, with the exception of Cameron. I still take a swig of my margarita afterward just because, though.
"Your turn, Gigi." Nicole points.
Gigi. Gigi is the blonde girl's name.
"Never have I ever..." She taps her chin. "Cheated on my significant other."
No one drinks for that one.
"Never have I ever," I begin, taking a deep breath as I try to think of a good one. "Been in love."
Almost everyone drinks for that one. Cam, Belly, and Gigi don't. Even Conrad takes a swig. Him and I lock eyes for a moment as he brings his cup to his lips. I look down and stick my glass into the sand, leaning back on my palms.
We continue around the circle. Jeremiah and Conrad say something silly and everyone is forced to drink. I'm almost 100% sure Conrad would rather be doing anything else right now by the look on his face. He wears that expression that makes him look bored out of his mind. His eyes are hooded and his mouth remains in a straight line— no trace of amusement or entertainment.
"Okay. This is a juicy one." Nicole presses her hands together mischievously as she glances around our little circle. "Never have I ever given head."
My eyes widen. The only people who don't drink are me, Belly, and Cameron. Everyone else takes a sip of their red liquor. The girls giggle, their faces turning a shade of red that matches their margaritas. I laugh, fixing my top a bit by pulling it a little higher up my chest.
"Astrid... aren't you supposed to drink?" Nicole asks with a questioning expression.
My eyebrows furrow. "Huh?"
"Well, you drink if you've done it."
What the fuck?
"Yeah, I know."
I can feel Belly's eyes on me. Shayla and Gigi stare at me, too. Conrad's looking everywhere but me. I don't understand why it's such a big deal.
"Didn't you and Dylan hook up?" Gigi asks.
"No," I reply, sitting up a little straighter in the warm sand. "We kissed."
