The class was having lunch in the lobby, when I felt it in my right arm, the same one that my fingertips brushed when I fell over before. It was an odd spasm, but it soon went away. But then it came back, along with another spasm in my stomach, and then again, with a headache. The fourth time, my vision swam before me, and I dropped my lunch, falling over. I don’t know if anyone noticed or not, I was in so much pain. But then, as quickly as it came, it suddenly stopped. I sat up, panting, but I felt different, like I could turn something on inside me, that a normal human couldn’t. But that was silly, so I went back to my lunch, thinking I probably hadn’t had enough water, like I was always told  when I had a headache.
When break was over, we all headed to our teacher so she could put us back in our groups, for the last block of our time at the lab. As we were heading to a different section,  I felt a weird feeling. It was almost as if somebody had realised something, and they were extremely angry about it. Quite an odd feeling, since a moment ago, and actually all of today, I hadn’t felt anything like that. Getting a little bit worried, I started walking again, faster, to join the group. Just as I turned a corner, I saw the class up ahead and broke into a run, feeling something was seriously wrong. I tried to ignore it and  took a deep breath as we entered the next section,  and decided to stop thinking about it.
After our very interesting lesson, the day was over, and we left the building. As the teacher was doing the role, I felt distracted, and again, got that really odd feeling about turning something on inside me, and I just couldn’t seem to shake it. And then, I knew that something was seriously wrong, like I had thought before. I was so distracted by this, I didn’t notice when our teacher called my name. “Astryn? Astryn!” I quickly jolted out of my thoughts when I heard my name. “Here, sorry.” When at last the roll was over, we headed over to the bus, and our teacher started counting our heads.
We were in the middle of this when it happened. By this time I was really worried, and that odd sensation was mounting. Then suddenly, it happened.
Everything exploded, all at once.
The building, the vehicles, everything. Everyone went into pandemonium, or at least, the half of our class that was alive. Our teacher was already dead, and we didn’t know what to do. The whole lab was on fire, and some  vehicles that hadn’t completely exploded were as well. Pieces of debris rained from the sky, some of the larger ones crushing a few people. I looked back at the lab, which to my horror, was starting to topple over, towards us. Scientists streamed out of the bottom, but not all of them made it in time. When the whole thing fell, I heard a few screams abruptly cut off.
In the middle of all this, something seemed to come out of the lab, which was now just a pile of rubble and other debris. Electric blue humanoid robots, icy white lights flashing,  with silver human-like eyes, except they were giant ones, blasting everyone in sight. Crushing people with their feet, setting even more of the ruined place on fire. The PMA. They didn’t seem to want to negotiate, or even talk. It was almost as if they were at war, no need to speak, just killing everybody.
All while it happened, I was frozen. For some reason, I couldn’t get my legs to move. And, my headache was still mounting. The odd feeling of something horrible about to happen was gone, replaced with that it had just happened. With a giant mental heave, I got myself to move. All around me, I saw more destruction, and people falling to the ground. All because of those horrible robots. I found a small place to hide in, barely able to run, that odd sensation of headache worse than ever. And just as I felt myself slipping out of consciousness, I saw a glowing, electric blue light, exploding from my right arm.
