How to beat the Algorithm

Defeated in battle;
Social media scorned.
Mindless drones decided
What the view should be;
And it was hateful to me.
So I went before the captain
Thought he should know
"I dont steer your ship" said he
"You decide what you see "
I was baffled and confused
The feed from Algorithm
Was always ugly and sad
Did I do something to bad?
Punishment from Mighty Algorithm
"You must constantly search "
Was my captain's reply
"And you will have results;
Choose only Good.
Do not needlessly fault find,
Though they may be seen;
You have your own too,
And I have better things to do
Than pluck aphids from my tree"
I turned and started my search
For beauty, Grace, and understanding
I found some nice and some not,
But Grace I had been given
So grace I did send out
I turned from the ugly,
Allowed it to be not for me.
I thanked the ones of beauty
For showing me the good
"And more there is to give
Where grateful hearts do dwell"
I searched again and found
More good and better
Acceptance and love
Are part of the Algorithm too
But it is always biased toward you.
When you focus on bitterness
Bitter are the only results
Then and there I made a choice
Sweetness would be my only voice
I still have follies and strife,
But better is my life
Since I focus on myself
And that is the way
I finally beet the algorithm.
