2 | Unexpected Visit

Summary: The agencey gets an uninvited visitor who just so happens to be Kunikida's father.

It was a very peaceful day in the city of Yokohama. Peaceful to the point where the port mafia hadn't caused any chaos in awhile. But the agency was still hard at work because there were other cases that needed to be taken care of.

Everyone was mostly working or out on a mission. Dazai was doing his usual lazing around , Ranpo was more interested in his snacks , Tanizaki and his sister were out on a mission  , Atsushi and Kunikida were busy typing up a ton of reports , half of which was meant to be Dazai's own workload and everyone else was also working on other things that were just as important.

It was a very peaceful vibe , untill the door of the agency suddenly opened causing everyone to stop their work even though some had carried on working.

The person who came in uninvited with no noitce whatsover had almost blonde hair with some grey streaks in it and he overall looked similar to Kunikida.

"How can we help you?" The older Kunikida look alike looked at Yosano and ignored her. He scanned the room untill his eyes were directly looking at Kunikida who immediately straightend himself and quickly stood up to face him.

The man walked towards Kunikida and stared down at him. "Sit. Theres no need for this foolishness." The silence was tense as Kunikida obeyed and sat back down.

"Why haven't you been visiting then?" He asked his voice sounding cold and harsh. "You know how hard it was to find where your sorry excuse worked?" Dazai noticed how Kunikida was trying not to flinch at the tone of the man's voice and glared at the older one.

He was certain something was not right about the relationship the two had but he needed to be sure before starting anything.

"Sorry , father. I was busy with work." Kunikida said. The silence was deafening before the man who was now confirmed to be Kunikida's father started speaking again.

"Thats no excuse. You waste of space , now tell me the real reason why you haven't been visiting!" He shouted as he raised his fist at Kunikida as if he was to hit him.

"Woah! Stop right there fucker." Dazai said stepping infront of Kunikida and grabbed the man's fist and held it tightly so the sorry excuse of a father could feel the pain.

"And who the fuck do you think you are?" He demanded. Kunikida stared at Dazai and looked at him as if to say don't do this but Dazai ignored him. "I'm his boyfriend you motherfucker." The reaction that got out of him was most likely expected from someone like him.

"You're gay!? Thats unacceptable , I didn't raise you to be a fag!! " He shouted. Things were starting to get out of hand as the man was trying to escape Dazai's tough hold on him which he was unfortunately successful at.

"Thats not how it fucking works , you douche!"

Dazai stepped back , throwing his hands in the air and let Ranpo and Yosano move to hold the man from trying to hurt Kunikida whilst Dazai still stayed infront of him , ready to protect Kunikida from his father if he needed to.

"Aren't you going to fight back or stand there and let your apparent friends see how much of a pussy  you are?" His father said. "How about you use that freakish ability of yours?" That seemed to be the final straw.

"Shut up!" Everyone watched as Kunikida was now standing infront of his father. "You didn't raise me at all! All you did was abuse me and mother whenever you wanted." He shouted "You abused us for years and you still think you raised me."

Kunikida stared at his father , who was struggling against Ranpo and Yosano's grip. Things were deathly silent as nobody moved or said a thing untill they heard the door of the agency opening.

"That is enough!" Everyone turned to see that the president of the agencey had arrived. He looked at the scene infront of him. "Yosano , please escort the visitor out of here."

Yosano quickly got to work , after Ranpo had let go of the man , and she quite literally dragged the sorry excuse of a father by the hair out of the agencey for good.

Things were starting to finally calm down now that he was finally gone. And it was good to know that he won't be allowed in ever again.

Now that his father wasn't here anymore , Kunikida dropped to the floor and placed his head in his hands. "Hey , its ok. Hes gone now." Dazai said. "Do you want to be with everyone else or stay with me? " Dazai asked.

"Stay with you." Kunikida said voice sounding muffled.

Everyone looked at each other and nodded , agreeing to give Kunikida some much needed space , with Dazai staying behid. The door of the agencey locked and Dazai started again , trying his best to comfort his boyfriend.

"It's ok , he's gone now." Dazai said as he wrapped his arm around Kunikida who leaned in to the touch. They both stayed like that , for who knows how long.

Kunikida had calmed down after some time , but they both still stayed with each other not letting go of each other.

Whilst they were still holding each other ,  Dazai had said a few words and he made sure that Kunikida could hear them.

"He won't hurt you anymore. Not while I'm here."

This was challeging to write. Its finished now. I somewhat headcannon that Kunikida's father is a piece of shit who shouldn't exist.

The next oneshot will be more wholesome and less angsty dw. And sorry about the use of the homophobic slur thing I really didn't want to write that.
