Lay pulled into Josh's driveway from getting groceries

She planned on making him so Jambalaya, her favorite before he got back from working out

Making her way behind the sink, she washed her hands then the vegetables to go into her dish

While she was cutting the things, she FaceTimed Dior

"Bitchhhhh I know you out of all people not in there cooking" Dior gasped putting his face into the camera

Lay rolled her eyes and laughed

"Hey I'm cooking for me as well Diora"

"You're doing your wifely duties I see" Dior laughed loudly in the speaker making Lay pull one of her airpods out

"And is" She rolled her neck replying

Josh breathed hard feeling his old personal trainer rub up and down his chest

Claire, his fuck buddy/trainer hasn't seen him in months due to him cutting her off

Josh was cool with just fucking, but Claire caught feelings and he stopped talking to her

They had an agreement, but she wanted more even after he dropped her

From making fake pages to popping up at his training, this bitch was definitely strung and crazy

Claire huffed at his words, feeling her heart shatter

This was true though, she was real materialistic and boring

The two just stood there, having a stare down

Josh was taken aback, cause in his eyes he only belonged to one person

"Bitch are you dumb, I don't want you nor do I need you" He scrunched his face up, walking toward the exit

He drove home in silence, gripping his steering wheel

When he got out his truck, he slammed the door

Pacing toward the door, he smelled an immaculate scent before entering his home

He opened the door to see Lay there, dancing to Teena Marie's Lovergirl while cooking

Josh's face softened at the sight of her

He made his way to the stove wrapping his arms around her waist

Lay jumped, but eased down when she smelt the familiar scent

Josh kissed the crook of her neck, before turning her around

"What you making" He asked going to open the pot, until Lay slapped his hand

"Your momma ever tell you not to touch her pot" Lay looked at him

"She did, and I still did it now what" Josh reached back to try again, earning another slap

"Boy go shower, and then it will be done"Lay pointed toward his bedroom

Josh rolled his eyes, but smiled right after

"Ok MOM" He laughed watching her facial expressions

Josh smiled dropped as soon as he turned the corner, thinking about was Claire said

He was going to protect Lay regardless, but he wondered what Claire would have up her sleeve
