"Charles freaking Leclerc" I said quickly getting into the Ferrari as people stared at the supercar. He was smiling making fun of my embarrassment. "Nice to see you too Nadia" he said while I hit his arm. "Hey this" he said gesturing to himself "comes with the Ferrari". He drove off while I rolled my eyes. I wasn't mad though, annoyed because now I realized he drives flashy cars, but happy I got to see him.

"Hey when was the last time we hung out together" I said while he drove through downtown. "It was the Sauber party" he smiled and I mentally slapped myself. "You know the last time before that was right before I left back to New York the summer four years ago" I said changing the subject. He then laughed then pointed to my shirt, "we went to go eat gelato and you spilled your chocolate gelato all over yourself" he said. I smiled remembering too, "I have never eaten chocolate gelato or ice cream ever again", then looked over at him again, smirking.

"Remember when we were playing tag and you fell into my pool" I said laughing back at him while he was the one who was being made fun of. "Okay okay funny" he said continuing to focus on his driving.

"So where are we going" I said as we got on the highway. "I actually have to turn in the Ferrari and we are gonna ride in something more..light" he said giving no hints on what we were gonna drive. "Light..." I said skeptical.

And let me say this, maybe I should've just stayed away from Charles.

As the motorcycle was brought out, I almost quite literally shit myself and also it was raining now, so we were gonna be so wet.

"Who do you think you are" I said as he handed me a helmet. We were already soaking and I was refusing to get on. "I'm Charles Leclerc" he said cockily and patted the seat behind him. I crossed my arms over my chest and stared at him.

When he knew I was gonna let up, he put the helmet on me. He lifted up the little window thing that covered my eyes and smiled. "Hey trust me, if you really feel unsafe tap me three times and I promise I'll stop" he said holding the sides of my helmet.

"Okay fine Leclerc" I said getting on behind him . I wrapped my arms around him and laid my head on his shoulders. He then started driving and I held on tight to him but ultimately started laughing. It was so much fun and the rain added so much more.

We didn't have anywhere in plan, so we were just driving all around Austin. When we came to a stop light, he turned around, "I told you this would be fun, let's go get gas real quickly". I nodded and he drove again once the light turned green.

At the gas station he began to fill up while I went inside to get drinks for us. I got two waters and went up to the counter.

"Hello miss, just this" the cashier said. "Yes please" I said before getting out my card. "Maybe your boyfriend should invest in a car for the rainy days" he said as he rung up the waters. I chuckled before paying, "yeah he really should, have a good day".

When I walked out Charles was sitting on the motorcycle. I got back on too I handed him his water as he thanked me and he chugged like all of it.

"God damn" I said laughing, he smiled before driving by the trash, throwing the bottle away and headed off again.
"I made reservations at this place at the Domain" he said loudly over the sound of the motorcycle driving me. I gave him a thumbs up on his chest and continued to hold on.

When we got there, it was a more quiet restaurant and the host led us to a back room probably because we did not fit in with everyone else who was completely dry. "I thought she was gonna kick us out for getting the floor wet" I said as we sat down. "Would have been the second time we were kicked to the curb today" Charles said reminding me of Katerina and Pierre.

"You can't lie, they would be cute together" I said looking at the menu. "Yeah they would be" Charles said looking off in the distance. "So race winner, how'd you sleep after your hard core partying" I said while wiggling my eyebrows.

He groaned before putting his hands over his head. "I definitely don't want to talk about that, Arthur couldn't stop making fun of me" he said before our waiter came. While he was taking Charles order, I decided to look at my phone. Arthur had texted me seeing if I wanted to hang out today. Fuck

"And you ma'am" the waiter said. "Oh I'll have an unsweet tea and the fettuccine Alfredo" I said before giving him my menu. When he left, I showed Charles my phone. It was a picture of him from a LONG time ago.

"Nadia nooooo" he said while covering his eyes. I laughed quietly, "hey this was before you were hot stuff, you have to appreciate your roots". He rolled his eyes then turned off my phone.

"Are you coming to Monaco over the summer" he said raising his eyebrows. I laid back in my chair before looking at my hands.

"I have to think about it but I mean I really miss it-" I said before he grabbed my hands. "Please come maman misses you, she asks every year about you"he said pleading.

"I miss her so much too" I said guiltily. "I miss you and I know you can't just up and leave your job but maybe we could plan a week or-" he said but this time I was the one who cut him off.

"Charles I'll come back I promise" I said putting my hand over his now reassuring him. "Okay" he said smiling again.

"Now that I'm thinking of it, I have a plan" I said devising while he was now confused.
