fortunately, he didn't hear anything from the system. so, that must mean that yoo joonghyuk bought his excuse.
"by the way... how old are you this year, joonghyuk?" the disciple was a bit surprised by the sudden question and he also noticed that his shizun wasn't calling him by his full name like usual, but he chose not to question anything. he didn't want to anger his shizun after all.
"sixteen."
"ah...." just as kim dokja had thought, they weren't too far into the story just yet. he still had some time thankfully. "well, you may leave now." he quickly shooed the boy with his fan, signalling him to leave the room.
yoo joonghyuk bowed his head before hurriedly leaving the room with the medicine bottle in his hand.
kim dokja sighed as soon as the protagonist had left. he had A LOT to think about. he needed to plan everything perfectly so that he doesn't suffer the same fate as the original scum villian from the novel.
but he still couldn't believe that he had transmitted into a novel. well, as long as his mission succeeds then life here shouldn't be too bad, right?
he needed to make sure that he lives a peaceful life here.
"hmm... i wonder what kind of novels people here read?" he asked himself.

surprisingly, things goes more smoothly than kim dokja had thought. he had found a few ways to finesse the system and not get his B points deducted. well, not really actually.
he had 'accidentally' gotten some deducted while helping yoo joonghyuk with a little bit of wind to push back the disciples that were bullying him. he was hiding behind a tree and that was all he could do. he immediately regretted helping the protagonist though.
somehow he couldn't stand watching it anymore and decided to help a little bit.
thankfully though, apart from that time specifically, kim dokja is slowly making progress with the plan he had come with which was to finesse the system, gain some B points and make the protagonist not hate him along with some other characters.
oh! and also, he was helping yoo joonghyuk with growing his harem too along with some other stuff like some character development which helps him gain something called 'protagonist coolness points'.
kim dokja didn't change much of the plot honestly. he had just changed the character who he was currently in the body of. and maybe changed the other characters, especially yoo joonghyuk's, view of him too.
the more B points he gained and the more the story progressed made him be able to break out of characters little by little. the reader couldn't help but cheer silently for himself. he could enjoy life here much better now that he doesn't have to worry about suffering in the future by the hands of the protagonist.
he remembers that day when he got a curse in his body after protecting the protagonist from the demons. damn it. he really shouldn't have done that.
really though, yoo joonghyuk was the protagonist! he had the fucking protagonist halo protecting him and yet kim dokja knew that but still threw himself right into the danger just to protect that bastard.
scum reader's self saving system. (orv, joongdok)
