"Wait a sec. How big?" Steve asked over the music playing in his car.
"First it was like that." y/n gestured from the backseat, squeezing her hand through the space between the front 2 seats
"Now he's like this." Dustin gestured from the passenger seat
"I swear to God, it's just some little lizard, okay?" Steve tried reassuring them even though he hadn't even seen it.
"It's not a lizard." y/n groaned
"How do you know?"
"How do I know if it's not?"
"How do you know it's not just a lizard?" the two argued
"Because his face opened up and he ate our cat." she spoke which quite frankly, make Steve speechless

When they eventually arrived at the Henderson household, Steve and Dustin went around to the back of his car while y/n went to the basement doors and took the lock and chain off of the handle.

The three of them stood silently, waiting for Steve to make a move
"I don't hear shit." Steve spoke, shining his light on the doors to their basement
"He's in there." Dustin assured. Steve then hesitantly knocked the end of his bat into the doors but still no noise from inside. This time he hit the doors with the bat, causing a loud thud, but again, no noise
"All right, listen, kid. I swear, if this is some sort of Halloween prank, you're dead." Steve said aggressively as he shine the light into Dustin's face
"It's not."
"All right?"
"It's not a prank." Dustin urged
"Get it out of my face." He spoke, squinting his eyes, trying to look at Steve.

y/n helped him open the doors to the basement while Dustin shakily held the flashlight.
"Let me see that." Steve quietly spoke, taking it off of him and shone it down the stairs and around but there was no Dart to be found
"He must be further down." y/n spoke as she squatted down next to Steve to see if she could see further in, leaning her axe in between her legs.
"I'll stay up here in case he tries to escape." Dustin said which caused Steve to sigh. The two older kids stood up simultaneously and began walking down the steps. y/n pulled the cord to turn on the light and in the process, she felt a slimey substance under her boot
"what the-" she whispered as she picked up her foot to see what it was she stood on. Steve shimmied his bat underneath it and picked it up to get a better look at exactly what it was. As he held it in the air, a snotty fluid dripped off of it onto the floor. y/n knew exactly what it was as she'd seen the exact same thing, only smaller, a day earlier.
"Steve? y/n? Guys, what's going on down there?" Dustin's voice timidly spoke from the top on the steps
"Get down here." Steve said, shining the light up at the younger boy
"Oh, shit." he sighed, looking at the lump of old skin hanging off the end up Steve's bat
"Oh, shit!" he spoke more urgently as he looked over to see his sister pushing stray bricks out of the way and squatting down to peer into a whole carved into the wall. The two boys walked over to y/n and Steve passed her the flashlight which helped her see that it wasn't just a hole in the wall, it was a tunnel that at first glance didn't seen too long, until she noticed that it turned right, which was beyond their vision
"No way. No way"

"well, well, well, look who it is" Dustin spoke into his headset as y/n and Steve pulled out buckets of meat, gasoline and other supplies out of the back of his car
"well while you were having sister problems, dart grew again, he escaped and I'm pretty sure he's a baby Demogorgon" Steve put his bat into his backpack and zipped it around it to keep it in place, and y/n did the same for her axe.
"I'll explain later, just meet me, y/n and Steve at the old junkyard...and bring you binoculars and wrist rocket" Dustin commanded while the two older kids threw on their backpacks and Steve closed his car while saying
"alright, let's go"
"just be there, stat! over and out"

"alright, so let me get this straight" Steve started as they group were throwing chunks of meat onto the ground. Dustin in front, y/n in between and Steve behind.
"You kept something you knew was probably dangerous in order to impress a girl, who...who you just met?"
"okay that's grossly, oversimplifying things"
"why would a girl like some nasty slug anyway?" Steve asked
"an interdimentional slug? because it's awesome!"
"it is pretty cool" y/n chimed in
"well, even if she thought it was cool, which she didn't, I just...I don't know, I just feel like you're trying way too hard, man" Steve said as he was now stood next to Dustin and y/n was balancing herself while trying to walk on the side of the abandoned train track.
"not everyone can have you perfect hair, alright?"
"it's not about the hair, the key with girls is just, acting like you don't care"
"even if you do?"
"yeh exactly, it drives them nuts"
"no actually, it doesn't, don't listen to him, we like it when you're just yourself"
"and then what"
"you just wait, til uh...til you feel it"
"feel what?"
"it's like before it's gonna storm, you know...you can't see it but you can feel it, this uh, electricity, you know"
"oh, like the electromagnetic field when the clouds in the atmosphere-"
"no, no, no, no, no, like a...a sexual electricity"
"oh"
"you feel that...and then you make your move"
"so that's when you kiss her?"
"No, whoa, whoa, slow down Romeo"
y/n intervened
"sorry"
"this, Steve Harrington, is why most of your relationships haven't gone further than sex," she began and she hopped off the edge
"with girls, relationships are so much more than just sex, we don't just want the sexual electricity, we want the romantic electricity, we want butterflies in our stomach everytime we even think about you, we want you there with us emotionally, we want someone who's not afraid of their own feelings, we want someone real, and sure okay, some girls, yeah, they many you to be aggressive, you know, strong, hot and heavy, like a...I don't know, a lion" Dustin hummed at y/n's explanation before Steve joined in
"but others, you gotta be slow, you gotta be stealthy, like a..."
"like a ninja?" y/n laughed
"hey! did she tell yo-"
"what type is Nancy?"
"Nancy's different, she different than the other girls"
"yeah, she seems pretty special, I guess"
"yeah, yeah, she is"
"but, this girl's special too, you know. it's just, like, something about her"
"whoa, whoa, whoa, hey, hey, hey"
"what"
"you're not falling in love with this girl, are you?" Steve asked
"no. no"
"okay, good. don't"
"I won't"
"she's only gonna break your heart and you're way too young for that shit"
"he's right, being in a relationship with someone shouldn't be a main priority for you at the minute, not until you're our age, at least" y/n finished before they all went silent for a few seconds, continuing the throw chunks of meat on the ground
"Fabergé" the two siblings looked up at Steve with confusion
"what?"
"it's Fabergé Organics. use the shampoo and conditioner and when your hair's damp, not wet, okay, when it's damp,"
"damp"
"you do four puffs of the Farrah Fawcett spray"
"Farrah Fawcett spray?" Dustin asked as him and his sister tried to suppress laughter
"yeah, Farrah Fawcett, you tell anyone I just told you that and your ass is grass, both of you, you're both dead Henderson's, do you understand?"
"yep" Dustin spoke in a more serious voice this time
"okay" Steve huffed and then continued to walk from his once paused state.
"Farrah Fawcett, really?" y/n asked
"I mean, she's hot" Steve reasoned
