Alaya, which means dawn, is very familiar to Kapampangans as Mount Arayat is also called Bunduk Alaya, which means “mountain where the sun dwells or rises,”
If by any chance, a Kapampangan reads this poem, please let me know if I've misunderstood the meaning of Alaya from my written poem, as I am not very familiar with it. I just really loved the word and its meaning, so kindly send me a message if I misunderstood it.
