Once upon a time there was a plant called "I'm a multicellular organism". On day "I'm a multicellular organism" was very hungry, and was preparing his cells (which contained chloroplasts) to carry out photosynthesis. While waiting for the photosynthesis - so he could eat - he saw a dying plant with a disease. Then "I'm a multicellular organism" wondered how he was protected from the diseases. He was scared. Then he remembered that his cells have cellulose cell wall protecting his cells. He became happy again.
Then "I'm a multicellular organism" finished creating food with photosynthesis and he stored the carbohydrates (as starch or sucrose) in his cells. Then he went over to his friend's party. They were all very greedy and didn't share their food at all. All of his friends were there, including flowering plant and his identical twin cereal (or as they call him Mr Maize) and a close friend herbaceous legume and his wife Mrs Bean and his 7 pea children. Then "I'm a multicellular organism" went home and died from a disease, because his cellulose cell walls failed.
