"Diane slow down." I slow to a walking pace and so does she. When we get to the cafeteria, we get in line and wait our turn. "You have practice later right?" She asks me. "Yea, will you?" I ask her back.

"No, sorry love. My parents wanna go to eat later for my dad's birthday." She smiled. "Ah ok. Tell your dad I said happy birthday later then." I said.

"He wants you there," she said. "Really?" I say lifting my eyebrow. "Yea, he says you should come. You know how he is, he loves soccer and you play it. Honestly, I think he's proud I have a girlfriend who plays soccer." She says as we move up the line. "Well, I'm very likable." I smile and kiss her cheek as she giggles.

"Captain!" Someone yelled across the cafeteria.

I looked around to see my best friend and co-captain on the soccer team. Lyn Flores, 17 years old, is employed at the big pizzeria across the street from Hamilton high. She's tall, Mexican with blue eyes which is quite rare, and very popular with both guys and girls. She loves to joke around, on the other hand, im the more serious one, which is why the coach named me the captain instead. People call her 'The Rocket' because of how fast she runs.

"Hey, lyn!" I wave at her and smile.

"Is she gonna be this loud forever?" Diane says between a groan and an annoyed voice. "Yes, and I would very much like it if you two got along." I put my hands around her waist. When we reached the food I let go and got her and myself trays for our food.

You'd wonder why they don't get along. None of the cheerleaders get along with the girl's soccer team, they think we're immature bitches stealing every guy and girl's attention. Lyn proves their point.

I didn't necessarily fall for Diane. She never told me why she even asked me out in the first place.

Flashback

I was walking with my friends to the parking lot after practice when I heard my name.

"Hana!" I turned around to see Diane, the cheerleader's captain. She told me to go to her so I did but the moment I left my group they all got soaked with water. I could hear the cheerleaders laughing. I wanted to laugh as well but I would never hear the end of it.

I turned around to Diane.

"Why?" I said. "Oh c'mon don't tell me you weren't trying to laugh." She smiled.

"Is this why you called me?" I asked her. "No...well yea, I didn't want to ask you something when you were soaked." She answered.

"Ask me what?" I raised my eyebrow. She walked up to me and told me to lean down. She wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me. I was in shock, I mean I've dated girls before but dating the captain of the cheerleaders and enemy of the soccer team. I close my eyes and put both my hands on her hips. When she pulls away first, she was out of breath, I could tell this was her first time kissing a girl. "Go out with me." She told me looking into my eyes. She looked so sincere but then again she was Hamilton high's player.

"I...I don't know" I answered looking away. My hands were still at her waist, her arms still around my neck. "Ok fine, I guess we'll give it a try, but...your girls leave my girls alone."

"Deal." She pulled me down again and kissed me.

End of flashback

Now we're 4 months in. We finish paying for our food and head to a table. "So, what should I tell my dad?" She asked me putting a fry in her mouth. "Well, we start practice at 4 and finish at 5:30. Maybe I could make it just depends on what time the dinner is?" I told her looking around the cafeteria.

"Well the dinner is at 7, so I think you'll make it." She smiled.

We continued to eat and we talked. She was so vulnerable sometimes, maybe she does like me. I could tell by the way she looked at me sometimes, she had a soft spot for me but I couldn't fall for her not when she had a reputation. When the bell rang for our first class, her friends came for her and mine came for me. She kissed me and left.

"Do you think she likes you?" Lyn asked. "I don't know but I won't fall for her, honestly I have a feeling today will not be a good day," I answered.

When we head to class we see Olivia, 16 years old, second year, and our team's goalie. She's well built, and the veins on her hands show more than any other girl's. Her hair was long and also very attractive.

"Hey, Liv," I say

"Hey cap, we have practice later?" She asks me.

"Yea, make sure you tell Iris when you see her."

She nods and we continue going to class.
