45. Omnipotence. Part 2

David flew up for a second, before his feet touched the floor once more. The wings had grown to size, as David's torso straighten up. His eyes turning a shade of black, before turning back to his normal eye colour. The flames on his wings appeared as well, as his wings expanded but it didn't take long before David did something he never knew he was able to do. He brought his arms out, spreading them the furthest they could go as he opened up his hands, a second later he brought them towards his chest and all the flames had gathered around his hands. For a moment, the others thought they could see a flash of darkness in his eyes, but they all ignored it as straightened his hands in front of him and the flames from his wings flew onto the symbol.

Nothing happened at first and everyone thought they had failed, but all of a sudden Allison, Matthew and Dalton had started chanting once more as the twins eyes flickered to a pale white colour. The white flame which was outlining the symbol grew enormous in size, as there was some flickering light of David's fire in there as well. Dana quickly gestured David towards them and before anyone of them knew it, he had ran over to Dana and stood next to him.

They all did the same as before. They turned half of their body towards the symbol, taking parts of the white light towards their palm and then turning towards Alexander and stretched their arm out to point towards them, their eyes glowing golden. The white light that they had collected from their palms all connected into one big one before shooting a beam towards the man which cause him to be knocked onto the floor, lifeless. Once the light had hit him, it disappeared as Dalton, Matthew and Allison fell the ground. The others felt as if a small injection had taken place in their right calf, but they were able to shake it off as Will turned back to human.

The others who were still standing ran over to Alexander. Emmelyn pulled the Zortzi Pala from his grasp as Dana did the same with the Naturaz Gaindiko Labana. Emmelyn gently took her sister's hand and reopened the cut Allison just made. It stung, definitely, had Aria bit her bottom lip to take the pain away as Emmelyn dipped the Zortzi Pala in her sister's blood.

Emmelyn and Dana placed both knives above Alexander, just in case one didn't work and the other did, but he slowly began to wake. "Guys, pin him down." Dana stated, everyone then clambered onto Alexander's limbs holding them down. "You ready?" He asked looking at Emmelyn, who hesitantly nodded. "On three. One." Dana started. Everyone looked at the two knives then to the man who began to wake. "Two." Dana continued.

"Stop!" Alexander cried. "You don't know what you're doing. I'm just the beginning, you've got more coming. You think Dalton was the only person to leave Purgatory that night? Let me help you!" The man begged for his life. "I give you my blood oath!" He cried.

"Three!" Everyone shouted. Dana and Emmelyn plunged both knives into the man's chest in case one didn't work the way it was supposed to. Everyone backed away from the man.

The man laid there still, as flames set him alight and his blood and skin began to boil. "You fools. You have no idea what you've done! She's here and she will kill you all! You think you're strong, you have no clue what's out there!" The flames began to swallow the man as his skin boiled into nothing.

Soon there was nothing but a pile of burnt clothes and two knives on the floor. Everyone sighed in relief. It was over, they'd won and the dreaded Garuda was gone and replaced with another who wouldn't go crazy for power. Dalton, Allison and Matthew had woken up from their unconsciousness and smiled at what they had achieved today.

Everyone hugged each other relieved it was over. Except for Alex, who had just walked up to the two knives, grabbing a hold of Naturaz Gaindiko Labana, smiling that she'd got her knife back.

"Alex?" Gabe questioned, approaching her. "It's done, we can go home and forget this."

"No." She replied. "I can't go home until I complete my task, I left it too long and got too close. But now I need to do what needs to be done."

No one could stop and ask what she meant, because Alex stood up and began to swing the Naturaz Gaindiko Labana at Gabe, who dodged every swing she made. Everyone ran to stop her, but they were no match for her, she knocked them all to the floor.

"I'm sorry." She whispered before lifting the knife high into the air.

But a strong gust of wind knocked the girl to the ground and stood in front of the teens was a blonde with grey wings and a skull imprinted face - Cassidy.

"I'm sorry, Alex but I can't let you do that." She stated looking over her shoulder at the people she was protecting. "You only want to do this to please your family, but give me the knife and we will keep for safe from the hunters. You said yourself that you'd got too close to them, Gabe especially. Then let him keep you safe, let us all keep you safe." Cassidy held out her hand.

Alex stood up and walked towards the Valkyrie, knife in hand. She looked at the knife, then looked at Gabe then everyone else. Her family would hate this, but she had to do it. Not only for her friends, but also for her. She looked Cassidy right in the eye, before giving her the knife.

"Thank you, Alex." Gabe smiled.
