Narrators POV

(Y/N) Sat there watching zero disapppear into the night, sighing as she looked at her now healing wound while shaking her head. 'Was all that really necessary? I practically kissed my target!' She groaned as she held her head, to be fair she hasn't been able to properly rest.

Groaning, she walked back into the dorms where the night class students resided. As she neared her room she noticed a figure standing at the door— one with brown locks. 'You're kidding.' She groaned as she neared the mysterious figure. "Is there anything else you have for me?" She replied, fighting the urge to snap at the pureblood. "Yes, well. A question." He answered with his usual stoic expression, "However, I'd like to talk with you privately— in your room, if you don't mind." Kaname finished as he stepped aside allowing (Y/N) to open the door before he stepped im behind her.

"What is it? I don't mean to be disrespectful but I'm just very tired, Kuran." She spoke as she turned to face the dorm president. "Well, I just wanted to ask why I saw you kissing Zero." he replied, his eyes staring down into her (e/c) orbs as he stepped a bit closer. The girls cheek flushed as her eyes widened at his sudden question. "He needed something and I was just trying to help." She replied as she tried to explain the reason behind the kiss. Kaname seemed to be unconvinced at her explanation, "And you thought kissing him was helping?" He spoke, his tone a bit icy as he narrowed his eyes at the girl.

(Y/N) nodded profusely as she looked up at the boy. "Yes! It was the only way." She said, placing her hand onto her head as she glared at Kaname— not caring anymore. "Why do you care that I kissed him? I did the task did I not? He didn't do anything to your precious Ms. cross."  She hissed as she was suddenly cut off by Kanames hands on her shoulder, the grip was firm and authoritative. "I'm simply asking to get the full story, please don't get hostile with me." He replied calmly, removing his hands. "I see you're tired, I'll let you retire for the day." He finished as he left the room— leaving a confused (y/n).

Kaname's POV
'I was supposed to ask where kiryu left to abruptly, not the kiss.'

I sighed as I continued down the halls, rethinking the interaction I just had with (y/n). Truth be told, I'm a bit jealous. I'm jealous that Zero was able to kiss her, even if it was a kiss filled with nothing— he received a kiss nonetheless. My face crinkled up at the thought, my brows furrowing as well.

'Am I really getting worked up over a kiss?...'

I continued to walk to my room— deep in my thoughts. Why do I really care that they kissed?... She's not the one I have feelings for.

Or is she?...
