Bullets flying by as Zach and I run for cover. I turn the safety off of my M1A1 rifle and look toward Zach. "We need to take them out, you to front and I'll move in after." "Got it." Said Zach. He turns his safety off and goes in rifle first. Hearing a couple of rounds get shot from Zach's gun. I moved right behind him. After several rounds being fired at the enemies the got to a locked door. "We need to breach". I said. I went to the side of the door and Zach stood In front of the door. I shot the lock on the door and Zach kicks the door in. We both push in guns blazing killing everyone within the building. Looking around I didn't see anymore Enemies inside. "Clear". I said. We both enter and look for anymore enemies. We opened the door to a bathroom to see a scared little boy, he was back away into the corner crying. Zach turn to me, "we need to take him with us ". "You might be right but I don't know if we have enough food". Zach looked at me with a serious expression "we'll manage". Zach goes to comfort the kid. Zach examines the child closer. "His legs been shot". Right as he said that we hear more gun shots in the distance "shit Zach, we need to get moving". I run out of the room and cover the front door of the building. Zach exits the bathroom with the kid on his back, riding piggyback. I yell "out the back door quick"! Zach runs out the back and I fire a couple of rounds out the front door to alert the enemies outside that we're still there. Then I turn and run out the back as well. Zach with the kid on his back and I were running through the forest with accelerated speed, gun shots being heard from behind, bullets going past us. I grab the radio out of my pocket "Jason we're on our way home several baddies behind us". Jason from the radio says "ha, you kidding, I've had you scooped in for the past mile, hold on let me just take some of them out". We then heard some shots from in front of us and then the shots from behind ceased. We then get to a clearing revealing our massive military base. I talk on the radio again, "we got wounded open the gates". Jason opened the door rifle still in hand "a please would of been appreciated every now and then. Zach and I look at each other in annoyance. We both ran in and shut the gate behind us. Jason looked at use to make sure we weren't injured. "Did you see any biters out there"? "No surprisingly, didn't see one". Jason pauses for a second "maybe Amy was right, maybe they all died."

Amy walks up to us. "of course i'm right, i'm always right". Zach put the kid down and Amy reached for the kids hand and said "don't be afraid i'm here to help, we need to patch that leg up. The kid gave a little smile and followed her. Jason walked up to "ok lets go we need to patch up the south wall, there's a small hole in it, don't worry tho, Jackson is guarding right now, he'll kill any biter that gets to close". I reload my gun and walk behind Jason toward the hole in the fence.

"it's about damn time someone come and fix this shit. I've been waiting all day". Jackson takes a sit on the watchtower and Jason hands me a hammer. "we're going to need to use some pieces of wood and nails. there's a pill right over". Jason points over to a pile of wood. I sighed and said "ok fine, lets just get this over with".

After what seemed like hours of work we finally finished. The wall seemed like not even the strongest man could break through it. Everyday this place seemed a little more like fort Knox. That was the last of my work for the day, so i headed to the barracks. I went to my bed which was the third bed in from the door. I laid down, the bed seemed very comfortable. So, soft..... drifting off.
