"...food...." her voice croacked. [Name] immediately crouched down, panicking. What-what should they do?
Then [Name] realized they always carried a small jug of water on them.
"S-sorry! I don't have any food on me right now, but I hope this helps-!" quickly fetching it out, they helped angle the child's face up so their cracked lips could take in the fluids. She greedily drunk, downing it in practically one gulp.
After that, she lowered head, passing out from exhaustion. [Name] reached in their pocket for their communicator, immediately sending a message to Myles for help. Now all they could do was wait.
From their walk earlier, there weren't any nearby hotels or shops open. Besides that, this street was full of beggars, making it useless if [Name] tried to call for help.
They took off their jacket. [Name] didn't know what it was made out of it, but it was very soft. Carefully turning the child over, they laid the back of her head on it. Hopefully this make-shift pillow would allow them to sleep comfortably by the time Myles arrived.

"Young master-!" cried out a faint but frenzied voice. [Name] had sent a message with their exact location through their communicator. It worked just like one of those tracking apps in their old world. To find someone, you would just hold up your communicator until it went from a red to a green glow - indicating the person was nearby. They sure were glad Divinia had technology as well. Granted, it was no where near as advanced as Earth's technology, but at least Divinia had magic.
"Young master!" Myles had caught sight of [Name] and the child laying down on their jacket. The male quickly made his way over to them, crouching down in worry. "Thank goodness you're safe-! Do you have any idea how worried I was?!" his volume made [Name] flinch.
"I'm sorry! But now's not the time for that!" they pointed to the brown-haired girl. "Please Myles, help me carry them back to the Ariti mansion! She needs help right away!"
The knight's eyes widened in surprise. He froze for a second before quickly standing up after analyzing their condition.
"I'm not sure how you came across her, young master, but fine! I'll ask questions later!" with [Name]'s help, they positioned the child on Myles' back, draping their jacket over to shield her from the cold.
"Will you be okay Myles?" [Name] looked at him with worry. "Are they too heavy for you?"
"No, I'm alright! I barely feel her at all. We should hurry though!"
"You're right, let's go!" the two took off, Myles holding a firm grip on the child's legs so they wouldn't fall off. Myles was going to bring a carriage with them for [Name], but at top speed, he was faster than any horse. Plus his legs made a decision before his brain could properly process the situation. That's how much he cared for the h/c-haired individual.
[Name] stared in amazement as they tried their best to keep up with their knight, who didn't slow down since it was urgent. However, their training with Myles and Forrest definitely paid off. Although [Name] was no where near side by side with the red-haired male, they were about only ten feet away - running their lungs off.
"You're doing excellent, young master-! I can definitely see the result of your hard work." Myles glanced over his shoulder.
"Haha, thanks! But I still have a long way to go before I can match your pace!"
He smiled at their words. "Maybe. But who knows. You might even surprise yourself one day, young master."
