She's different

New in Australia

Robyn's POV

I wake to the sound of my alarm clock buzzing in my ear. I groan and slam my hand down on the off button to shut it up. My eyes finally adjust to the light that's filled my room and I glance at my alarm clock. It read " 7:00am ". I grab my phone to check Facebook and the see if my best friend Amy had texted me. I'd only moved to Australia about 2 weeks about in the summer , because my mum got offered a promotion in her job but it was in Australia. So I had to leave all my friends who are back in London. I still Skype them but it's not the same. Normally my mum wouldn't say yes to a job like this especially in another country but since my dad died a year ago mum just needed a break. My dad died in a car crash he lost control in the snow and smashed into a tree and died instantly. I don't like really talking about my dad because he was never really there for us.

I dragged myself out of my bed and made my bed. I headed to my bathroom to have a shower and freshen up.

I finished my shower and dried my hair I then straighten it and headed to my wardrobe. In this school you could wear you own clothing which I thought was great. Back in London you weren't allowed. I grabbed my wripped black skinny jeans from my wardrobe and looked for my red checked top. I put on my clothes and went back into the bathroom and applied a bit of makeup to hide my spots and to look half decent.

" Robyn breakfast is ready " my mum shouted from downstairs
" I'll be down now " I replied.
I grabbed my grey beanie and my bag and headed downstairs. I wouldn't of classed myself as a tomboy nor a girly girl just in the middle , but in the mornings I didn't care what I looked like.

I finally got down stairs and found my toast on the counter beside a glass of orange juice.
" Are you excited about starting a new school? " My mum asked
" Mum just because it's a new school doesn't make it exciting , it's still school no matter what" I exclaimed.

I headed out the door to catch the school bus because I didn't trust my mum taking me. Knowing her she would have embarrassed me.

The bus finally arrived and I got on there were a few people on there but no one seemed to be bothered and to take much interest I that had got on. I found an empty seat and sat down and let out a huge sigh. I took my phone out of my
pocket and checked the time and to see if my friends had texted me. It was " 7:50". School started in 10 minutes
" Great " I said to myself.

We finally got to school and I got off the bus I took a deep breathe and walked through the double doors which lead into a massive hall filled with people and lockers.
" I wonder how this day will go" I thought to myself.

Sorry this chapter was kinda boring it's just the start so you guys understand.

This is my first ever fanfiction I've ever wrote so I apologise if there's any mistakes in the story. I hope you like it I'll be trying to update everyday but with big exams coming up in school it might be hard.
