It felt like forever until Charlie would be back all I wanted was to go home and curl up in bed but the prospect of being alone with my thoughts was terrifying
"You feeling any better?" CJ asked seemingly having the same idea as me taking a late night walk along the beach I had Ella for company the presence of the horses always helped calm me down
"Not really I'm just distracting myself waiting for Charlie to get back" I said giving him a sad smile
"What kind of horse is it?"
"She's a clydesdale"
"Can I ask you something?"
"Of course"
"When did you realise you loved him?"
"When I lost him I was shielded a lot as a kid so I didn't really have many other friends than him so I thought that was how everyone felt about their best friend everyone else had seen it and I mean everyone why?"
"What you said it got me thinking up until high school I was kinda chubby and an outsider didn't really have any friends but I had Lindsay but when I started to loose weight and became a jock and more popular I ditched her because everyone else thought she wasn't cool with her glasses and braces and I think I really hurt her but I can't stop thinking about her and I think maybe I've always been in love with her and just you know"

"Yeah" He chuckled at my bluntness
"Have you tried calling her?"
"No I'm not even sure she'd pick up"
"Then call from the cabin she won't know that number"
"Didn't think of that, I read about your god father by the way did you always know he was innocent?"
"We did but there wasn't much we could do we couldn't even go see him"
"Did he come to see you after he escaped?"
"If you are asking if I aided a believed mass murderer in his escape then you are not getting an answer"

"I might have seen him once or twice I should get back home we have a long day tomorrow but call Lindsay and keep me updated" I smiled turning Ella starting the trot back home thinking back on when I first saw Sirius again

I had gone back home to check on the horses at nan and granddads house before going home to do my laundry having taken some of Charlie's as well while he was working the sunny weather allowed me to hang it up outside for once and enjoy my book in peace without Charlie barging in to tell me something I had barely hung half of the things in the basket when a foreign yet familiar smell hit my nostrils whatever it was wasn't far away but I couldn't for the life of me figure out where it came from it smelled like an animal so I chucked it up to the neighbours dog that had gotten out again and continued on my task
