ZiRA ❪지라❫, usually stylized as Zi:RA, that debuted under YG ENTERTAiNMENT, on may 22, 2020 with the singles PRETTY PSYCHO & CHECK-iN, is the RAP UNiT, and second non promotional unit, of MELiORA. the subgroup lost to the vocal unit in the last round of the special mini reality program, MELiORA : GAME OF GODS, in which the two groups played different kind of games to decree the winner, and ended up debuting second, formed by members C:BYL, QiNGWA, RAEIN, YOKO & BOOBOO.
WHY ARE THEY CALLED ZI:RA?: originating from the name zira, meaning 'moonlight' that just like the other subgroups' names, reconnects to the storyline narrated in the group's music videos, the name's meaning takes a different turn with the usual stylization of it, becoming 'a group that holds many talents' with zi ❪持❫ meaning 'to hold' and ra/la ❪儸❫ 'talent'.
