I - In which... Adelaine Parkhurst, the stage manager of the Chevalier Opera House's theater program, finds a dead body of a stagehand dropped in the middle of the stage during a dress rehearsal of their performance of West Side Story, and a daunting ransom note attached to the body - more casualties can only be avoided if they perform Phantom of the Opera instead of their planned musical. In a race against time, she has to team up with a group of misfit theater kids to reveal the identity of the murderer before opening night - and one pesky Sky Laurier, who's been her rival since third grade.
