6. LIGHT AND MYSTERY~

To her surprise everyone was seemed waiting for someone at pj's desk, including haseena.

For the moment, ks ignored hm and asked others why are they all setting there like they are waiting for someone.

Pj(replied)- ha wo km, abhi dsp sir ka phone aaya tha wo aapse aur ms se milne thane aarhe h.

Ks suddenly realized that dsp has called them to the headquarters once hm is settled in mpt but she nearly forgot about that.

About half an hour later dsp reached mpt, he was welcomed with pj's rajma and chawal which was quite new for hm but a usual thing for others.

Santu understood HM's fascination throught her face about this unusual ritual. To which she erected and reached HM's ear and whispered startling her.

Santu(whispered)- ms, ye jo dsp sir h na hamare, inhe khane ke aage kuch nhi dikhta h aur aaj tak pj ke rajma chawal hi hamare mahila thane ko bachate aaye h saari musibato se.

Hm hopelessly looked at santu as she parted away and then breaking the long spread silence hm asked dsp who was busy relishing his food.

Hm(asked)- sir aapko kuch khaas baat krni thi sayad hamse aur ks se?

Dsp- ha, haseena malik, to ham ye keh reh the ki aap yaha thana aur thana staff se to mil hi chuki hongi aur dekh ke to lagta h ki apne case solve krna bhi shuru kr diya h, hame ye dekh kr bahut acha laga.

Hm(smiled a bit and said)- ji sir

Dsp(thought for a sec and then hesitantly said)- aa... Ms Malik, department aapke aur aapke pariwar ko jo kshati hui h uske liye aapke saath h. Hausla rakhiyega aur hame shukriya kahna chahenge ki SHO Aabid Malik ke
jagah yaha duty sambhal kar aapne aise waqt mein duty ko apne personal life se upar rkha ye bahut badi baat hoti h. I am proud of you.

Hm was already discomforted due to this sudden discussion of Aabid and unwantedly ks was clearly understanding her discomfort. So distracting everyone ks said

Ks(said)- dsp sir hame aapse kuch baat karni h.

Dsp(permitted)- ha ha ks boliye kya bolna h aapko

Ks(with a pinch of her acting she said)- sir wo kal hi hamne duty join ki thi aur ham seedhe kanpur se lucknow aaye the aur phir thane, to sir safar ki thakan ki wajah se hamne dawai le li raat ko jiske asar se ham subha 10 min late aaye thane to iski saza mein ms ne hame case pe kaam nhi krne de rhi h unke saath! (Said ks while assuring hm through eyes while other's didn't notice)

Hearing this santu (whispered to pj)- pj, aisa sirf mujhe hi lag rha h ya sach mein km abhi baccho jaisa dsp sir ko complain kr rhi h apne dost se ladai hone pe??

Pj(looked at santu and said)- ye sach h beta, hame bhi kuch samajh nhi aaya ki km aur aise kyu bol rhi h?

Dsp(to hm)- Ms Malik ye kya sun rhe h ham? Aapne ks ko Case pe se is wajah se hataya h? Dekhiye unke paas wajah h, to aap unhe ek baar maaf kr dijiye aur hamara order h ki is case pe aap dono saath kaam karenge aur isse aap dono ek dusre ko samajhne ka mauka bhi milega, jo thane aur aane wale cases ke liye bahut jaroori h.

Hm was already drowning in her past so she and ks just nodded and agreed to dsp.

Dsp(cont)- to theek h phir, ham ab chalte h aur case khatm hone ke baad aap dono headquarters mein report krengi.

After that dsp left. Now before any could ask anything about Aabid aur what dsp was talking about ks announced out loudly.

Ks(loudly announced)- chaliye ms, hame crime scene ki chaanbeen krne jaana h, ham dono tehkikat krke aate h thori der mein pj, tab tak aap sab apna kaam pura krke rkhiye.

And ks held HM's wrist and dragged her out of the mpt leaving back others in awe, confusion and a lot of unanswered questions.

"Baithiye bhi ab", said ks wearing her helmet and breaking HM's trance.

Hm(asked)- hame phir ispe baith ke jaana hoga?

Ks(pointed out to the tyre of the car and said)- uspe baith ke to kal tak bhi nhi pahuch payenge.

Hm sighed and sat behind ks. And then they left.

On their way while ks was driving, hm was lost in her thoughts.

Hm knew that today because of KS's help she was able to cope up with the situation otherwise she didn't know how would have she been handled it all alone. But something within her was not ready to accept this fact that her day was saved by ks. And for Aabid, she might seemed tough and strong from outside to the world, but from within she was constantly bleeding, bleeding since the day Aabid took his last breath in her lap.

Hm has to distract herself, atleast for present because it was disturbing her focus from her duty. And in order to that she pushed herself from one trap to the another, realizing that much later. So, after this battle of thoughts in her mind she decided to ask ks.
" Aapne dsp sir ko ye kyu Bola ki hamne aapko is case pe kaam krne nhi diya h?", asked hm

Ks(hopelessly asked back)- aur aapko sach mein nhi pata ki hamne ye kyu kiya h?

Hm now realized ki in order to escape from Aabid's thoughts from her head she just threw herself in the another one. 🤣

Ks(asked again)- Agar aap sach mein chahti h to ham wajah bata skte h.

It was already way much awkward for hm so she just said, " nhi rhne dijiye ks, hame is topic pe koi baat nhi krni, isse behtar h ki agar aap case pe kuch bolna chahti h to bol skti h"

Ks was knowing about hm in and out through Aabid, so she knew that hm must be suffering all alone and that was obvious too. So she never talked about Aabid to her directly after his demise neither today.

Few minutes later they reached the crime scene.
