The light brunette layed in her bed reading a book she has read almost a thousand times but she couldn't get enough of it, it was 12 at night as everyone slept but she couldn't so she decided to read

a sudden sharp knock was heard by her window catching the girls attention, ophelia frowned lightly placing her book on the night stand before removing the covers from her as she got up and walked to her window. moving her curtains to the side she saw whom it might be and an immediate smile appeared on her face

shaking her head she unlocked her window lifting it up "what are you doing here so late?" she stood back letting the taller woman climb in with ease before closing her window and curtain behind her

"i was bored, since i don't ever sleep and knowing you're awake i decided to bother you" the taller woman shrugged placing a kiss on her girls head before sitting on the edge of the bed kicking off her shoes

"oh and esme and carlisle wants to meet you and bella since you guys know we're vamps now" ophelia neared the taller woman straddling herself on the womans lap  wrapping her arms around her neck as she played with her soft fluffy hair

"wow meeting the parents, what's next proposing?" esmeray snorted burying her face in the girls chest letting her hands slither up the light brunette's shirt, ophelia was use to esmeray's cold body so it was comfortable feeling her cold touch on her warm skin

"maybe, maybe not,  you never know. i'm very unpredictable" the light brunette smiled shaking her head, the two stayed like that for a while before the shorter woman spoke

"when were you turned?" asked ophelia curiously

esmeray always knew the girl would ask her that question anytime soon, she was glad it was now since the atmosphere was peaceful and the world was asleep leaving the two lovers to engulf the stillness

"it was on my 18th birthday 1645, when france was known as the kingdom of france back then" ophelia was surprised yet invested at the statement

"how was it like back than?" the taller woman smiled slightly as memories flooded back into her mind, pulling the girl closer as she began explainingg

"i was born september 4th 1627 during the french war,  when i was 7 my father died on the battlefield and my mother died from a deadly yet common disease, so i was basically on my own not knowing which path to go or what to do with my life. once i reached the age of 14, i joined the french army who fought against spain at the time and i did well for myself being the youngest and most greatest poilu which meant soilder there, and being a girl who was born different at that"

ophelia was surely shocked at what she said but her eyebrows furrowed at the last sentence

"what do you mean born different?" esmeray knawed her lip as hints of nervousness settled within her at the thought of revealing something she was shunned upon

"i was born ... more differently than a usual girl, my mother told me it was rare condition i shouldn't be ashamed for" esmeray paused as the hazy memory of her mother faded slowly as decades passed, making the taller woman gradually sad but she suppose it was bound to happen

"i was born fully female from the top up but from the bottom down i have a male genitalia which i've learned today's generation calls it intersex. and during those times i was been a soilder, the men there would constantly belittle me, beat me, treat me as if i was some sort of freak, that has been an ongoing experience until the day i turned 18" ophelia took notice of esmeray's blue eyes darkened slightly when she relived the memories

"one eerie night, i was in my tent doing my usual routine consisting of cleaning my weapons to prepare myself for the battle the next day ...yet as i was cleaning, four men suddenly came in with each holdling a weapon in their hands and this evil look in their eyes" the taller woman stared off into nothing as bitter chuckle escaped her lips

"they said i didn't deserve to be a soilder ...it was a real mans job and i shouldn't be praised for being the best there is nor shouldn i be better than them at anything because i was a freak who needed to die" ophelia gasped lightly feeling her heart break at the taller woman's words

"they charged at me when i wasn't even prepared to defend myself but i tried my best to fight them off ...yet unfortunately i was outnumbered. two held me down as the other two began their torture on me,  they stabbed me everywhere, carving into my skin with their blades—i didn't scream nor did i cry though, not wanting to give them that satisfaction of succeeding to break me, that seem to make them angrier so one took out their gun and shot me 12 times ...for the 12 victories i had that they couldn't possibly archive even on a good day" the shorter woman had tears in her eyes as the story continued

"they left me there to die ...laughing on their way out, laughing in satisfaction at what they've done to me" esmeray could faintly see the faces of her killers, faces she'll forever hate even if they were dead "i couldn't do anything but only stare into nothingness, counting the seconds down on when i will die so i could finally see my parents again" a light smile twitched on the womans lips at the mention

"but in that moment, a sudden presence in the tent that i thought nothing of until i felt sharp pain in my neck. the pain passing through my body so harsh and quick but somehow in that very moment, i learned to absorb the pain, accepting it and letting it process through me and it mere seconds it disappeared and i passed out" esmerays eyes glazed over

"next thing i knew i woke up in a forest, the first thing i saw was a pair of red eyes, it was creepy yes but he showed me he was of no harm and wanted to help me. so i gave in after a long moment of thinking and he taught me everything i know. he helped me when i discovered i had powers and he even found the men that tortured me all bunched together chatting up storm near a fire ...so had my fun with them" a menacing grin flashed on her face

"years passed with him and i roaming the world, we protected each other and promised to never leave each other's side ...he was my brother, the first person i trusted with my life" the solemnity was evident in esmeray's tone as she sighed deeply before glancing to her mate

ophelia practically had tears running down her cheeks with a sad pout on her lips "m'sorry that happened to you"

the taller woman smiled softly wiping the girls tears before placing a kiss on both her tear stained cheeks "s'okay chèrie, meeting the cullens ...meeting you made the misery i once had vanish, you make me happy" she tucked the girls curls behind her ear

ophelia smiled cupping the womans face leaning in to place a soft kiss on her lips "you make me happy too" she mumbled against her lips, if esmeray was still human—she'd be blushing

"who was the vampire that changed you?" ophelia asked after a while as took note of esmeray's expression falling slightly

"caius volturi"
