"Didn't think I'd be seeing you again... Not with your new superhero team" A familiar voice said, noticing my presence. I came out from the shadows in the corner of the room revealing myself.
"I'm not a part of their team and they certainly aren't heroes" I take a seat opposite the man and have a sip of his drink. "Thought you weren't fond of this stuff, Midgardian alcohol just isn't strong enough!" I say mimicking him.
Randolph takes the beer from my hands quite roughly before speaking again, "If you don't think they're heroes then why did I see you all over the news, they're calling you the newest Avenger".
That title caused a shiver to run down my spine, if you had asked me what an Avenger was just months ago I would've given a speech on how they're heroes who save our world and protect us. They're an inspiration, people we should all strive to be like... But I was naive.
I take a moment to gather my thoughts before responding, "Someone needed to help them fix their mess".
If you were to ask me now what an Avenger was my answer would be quite the opposite. They're greedy and their desire for power is dangerous while their influence is limitless. Sure they might save the world, but they're the ones destroying it first.

"I was friends with them... I trusted them and do you know what happens? I go to one of Tony Stark's lavish parties, hoping to have a good time. Then we start getting attacked by a robot made from broken parts of the iron legion and the rest of Tony's robot army. Turns out the billionaire and scientist had created some mastermind killer AI who then tried to destroy the world. I only helped because unlike them I care about the people who were put into danger thanks to their brains and money." I pause trying to hide my emotions before continuing, "I'm not an avenger and I never will be, no matter how hard they try to recruit me".

I looked around the dimly lit pub I was now sat in, relieved to be somewhere quiet away from all of the chaos. I took my friend's drink again however this time he didn't take it back. "And you're here because?..."
I looked up at him, his still relatively young-looking face only showing some emotion. "This isn't my home anymore. Everywhere I go people either hate me or love me because they think I'm someone I'm not. I'm no hero and I'm no avenger and I won't let them make me one".
"You're going back, aren't you?" he asked now clearly concerned.
Neither of us knew if I was even strong enough to go all that way, after all, I had only done it once before and had barely survived. But I had to try.

"Asgard, here I come".
