You were going down in an elevator. A loud voice was talking to you about your new job. You annoyingly listened, the voice got annoying after a while. It had asked for your name. They keypad was glitchy and you struggled to even type 'mike' into the damned thing.
"It seems you had some trouble with the keypad. Here let me autocorrect that for you!"
The voice said. You felt relieved, hopefully it corrects into the right thing.
"Thank you, eggs Benedict."
"..are you fucking kidding me."
You thought. Eggs Benedict?! What type of name was 'eggs Benedict'?
You sighed as the elevator opened. It told you to crawl through the vents.
"Not creepy at all."
You said under your breath. You got down to the floor and started crawling through the vent.
It was crammed as hell and long. Some music would be great right about now.
You bummed to fill the empty void in your mind. Whatever the voice told you couldn't be THAT important, could it?
You reached the end of the vent and crawled into a pretty big wires. It was filled with wires and had two big windows. With two sets of buttons on each side of the room. I wonder what those will be used for. The voice told you to go to the window on the left, and so you did.
"Use the blue button to check on Ballora."
It told you. Ballora was a nice name. You pressed the button and the stage was empty. Isn't that always a good sign?
"Let's sound out a controlled shock."
Now that's not always a good sign. You pressed the bottom button, which you assumed was correct. The shock was odd to watch.
You checked the light again and say ballora dancing on her stage. Great. How fun! Right?
You walked to the other side of the room to try and see through the window. Before the voice told you to do the same there.
You turned the light on to see that Funtime foxy wasn't there. Of course. You already got the memo but still Waited for you to be told before pressing the controlled shock button.
You had pressed the light again after the shock was over and looked at Funtime foxy for a couple seconds. Nice to knew they're back. I guess. You turned the light off and waited for the voice to tell you to do another task.
"Great! Now crawl through the vent in front of you into circus baby gallery."
You sighed. Another vent to crawl through. You should've suspected this. You got back onto the floor and started crawling through the vent. This one wasn't as long. But it was still crammed as hell.
Once you reached the end you crawled out and stood up in a control room. 'Circus baby'..that name seemed familiar to you. You know the drill. You did what you had to before the voice told you to. But how odd. The shock isnt working. I'm sure it's fine.
"Let's try another controlled shock."
The voice told. So you did. It didn't work yet again. How long are we gonna stay here doing this?
"Let's try another controlled shock."
Okay then. You did it again. Surprisingly it worked this time.
"Congrats! That concludes your duties for today. Please leave through the vent behind you."
You started back through the vents. And back into the elevator.
Once the elevator opened you were back on ground level. You stepped out and went outside. It was dark out, of course. You have the night shift. You started walking back home. Waving at anyone who was still outside at this time. You were well known around the neighborhood.
You stepped onto your front porch and unlocked your front door. Finally. You could get some rest. You walked into your house and closed the door behind you. You went to your room and fell onto your bed. You didn't want to change. You curled up and slept.
